Yeah, I looked at the Wiki article; seems it's basically Irish moonshine.

Ya. I googled it before buying it. According to Wiki, "it can only be made from cereals, grain, whey, sugar beet, molasses and potatoes."

Basically, from me tasting it, it's like moonshine but smoother and sweeter.

It is actually very good.

I'll have to remember that next time I'm up in the city. It's not available any closer.

Yeah, I need at least one of those.  For some reason we did not receive any as wedding presents - I guess people stopped giving them as gifts after the 1960s.

Came across this rum about six months ago and I was surprised at how smooth it was. The distributor was giving away samples at the local wine store, and I was so impressed that I bought a bottle of the Cacao Rum. My favorite way to use it so far is just to mix it with some RumChata and drink it on ice.

I'm sure I'd love it but it's funny. "...After years of searching, they finally found Francisco “Don Pancho” Fernandez, the legendary Maestro Ronero" ——It took them years of searching to find the legendary master?

The cacao rum sounds interesting. Reviews are positive... I think I'd skip the Rumchata and just sip it.

It's great neat, also. That's how I had it for the first time.

The website about the company, along with the fact that Bruno Mars founded the distillery, can come across as a bunch of hype, but at the end of the day, it's good rum.
