Just saw on The Shins' website that their lead singer, James Mercer, and Danger Mouse released an album a couple days ago: Broken Bells.  It's getting great reviews and I liked what I heard based on the short clips online.

If they balk, EMI will go into default and almost certainly become a ward of its main creditor, Citigroup. Rival Warner Music...is said to be watching EMI's spasms with something approaching rapture.
