I'm still going to rehab twice a week to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles to control the leaking. The leaks are far less now but still bad enough I have to wear protection. Also after a few months I developed a pain in my groin area when I cough or sneeze. Been to the doc twice and so far they have no clue what it is. I had laparoscopic removal and the pain is under wear the incision was for the drain tube. I had a similar problem months after my lung cancer surgery in 2006 that was also under where the drain tube was. That turned out to be an adhesion and was told they'd probably make it worse if they tried to fix it with more surgery and told me it would eventually be reabsorbed. It was but it took about 2 years to go away. I suspect what I have now is the same kind of thing. Just like back in 2006 once you get it hurting it takes about 2 weeks for the pain to stop each time. Not fun. So far they have only done x-rays and blood tests which are normal.

Had one of mine done a month ago. Absolutely boring. And now when I wake up I can actually tell if Iâm in my own room or someone elseâs again.
I’m going in today to meet with my eye surgeon for cataract pre-surgery measurements. I hear it’s the most common surgery in America & no big deal. But it’s my EYES man! ð³ 𤣠I’ve turned it over to my Higher Power & I’m actually looking forward to it. It’s an old man thing, at least there’s a solution.
I hope your surgery goes well. I had mine removed almost 11 years ago and have had better that 20/20 vision since. I can even read small print without glassesl. My vision today is better than when I was in high school. The process is quick and painless. Be sure and do all the eye drops, no mater how much of a pain it becomes.

I just did what I and many others here have been doing for years in this thread which is posting stuff about medical events in their lives. There are several of us here who have some long lasting medical issues where we touch base with each other. Without involving politics.
Until now this was a political free watering hole where we all got together here discussing all kinds of things, asking for help, receiving help, providing help and information about medical developments and nutrition among many other things. Without involving politics.

I'm tempted to point out that the PET scan was invented by one of those institutions targeted by the current administration, but that feels inappropriate.
Saw the neurosurgeon this afternoon and the verdict is: the aneurysm is small, regular, in a good spot, and stable with "no need to try to fix it" at this time. I'll get imaging done again at the year mark, and see if it has changed at all. WHEW!
