How do you like the brownie? What are your depth limits with it?

Someday I'd like to spend more boat time in warmer water. We were able to swim in Canada in some of the remote bays this year, but it was still a bit on the chill side.

i was always a free tank guy

however using the brownie has some advantages in certain apps, like yesterday

we never went any deeper than 25-30 feet, and most of the time 8-15 feet

if i'm not mistaken, the initial line was 75-100 feet and then a Y-split into two lines of 20-25 feet (regs attached)

we anchor up current from the start of the reefs (in sand) and then drift back as needed

brownies keep divers close which is good

and they are kid/beginner friendly

we were diving close to molasses reef and the duane see below

in my experience most diving will be in depths of 35 feet or less

with the occasional deep reef or wreck dive

for safety reasons i would only use tanks for anything like that

due to circumstances beyond my control the keys excursion was shortened to one long brutally fun day on the water (after dark we ate, drank, cut up and watched the stars from the rooftop deck)

we had three young teens on our boat and they were great

we saw sharks, rays and tons of fish

after a busy 6-7 hours of "disappoint" with lobstering (plenty of bugs, but lots of competition and many were borderline size-wise) we went out to deeper water, out of snorkel range and used our brownie

diving was great but the seas and wind kicked up topside and the kids were struggling in the water

we switched into fun mode, came in close to a few sand bars and had a ball

sorta like this
