When I saw this topic in the RAFT, I received a nostalgia jolt like I haven't felt in a while.

Back in, oh...maybe 1971 or 1972, the local college radio station, WBKY (now WUKY), played primarily classical music, and ran all the usual NPR programming.

They had a mainly professional staff, with a few students interning on the staff. Every weeknight, from 11:30 to 1:00, the students got a chance to do their own program. It was called After Midnight. They played what they called a progressive rock format. Not prog rock in the sense of Yes, or ELP. More album oriented rock programming. Certainly more so than the local AM stations, which sill played top 40 stuff.

That was pretty heady stuff for a 14 or 15 year old kid.

I've taken to watching the BBC's Ashes to Ashes online. I'm never around to watch it on TV. I don't actually even know what day or time it shows in real time...
