I think the next big thing in phones will be flexibility, but not like this.

AliGator and I went to our local Apple Store at the mall yesterday afternoon. They had a not too long line from the door. We were maybe 15th or 20th in line. We had to wait maybe 50 minutes before we made it to the front of the line and were led in by an employee. The lines were reportedly much longer the three days prior. We both got  the iPhone 6.

It is quite a step up from our iPhone 4s, and we are both enjoying using them.

Here is a slow motion video that Alison took of Fuckhead Jones. She asks you to forgive her for not turning the phone 90 degrees. Be sure to turn up the volume.

I'm not up to date on my iPhone family history. But I think that iOS 6 is for the iPhone 3 and the older iPod touch.  The patches are in both of the latest iOS updates, there is no patch yet of OS-X, so extra extra caution in that land.

IOS, as I'm sure you know, only updates to the latest compatible version. I can't stay in IOS 6 and get the update with my 4s. I'm forced to move to IOS7.

Edit: It looks like Apple TV users will want to update as well.

Yes. iOS 6.1.6 has the patch.  That should tell you something about the seriousness, they are willing to go back and patch something they are trying to phase out.

Not necessarily. It is a trivial hack if you are on the same network (coffee shop/anything public). But there are other ways to get into a privileged network position, and it effectively negates SSL/TLS putting everything out in the wild.

Did I get this right? The risk with all devices (IOS and OSX) is only when on the same network as the attackers?

Yeah, because that would mean my old Macbook is safe on my own, secured WIFI.

On a Mac we have the Address Book. Itunes knows to sync our ios devices to the contacts in the address book. Not sure how this works on a pc, since a pc obvously won't have the Mac Address Book.

Edit: Apparently after you install iTunes, and when attempting the sync, you'll have options about where to sync contacts.
