Now don't you fall apart
While I'm falling apart
Why don't you get in line
Behind the tears I'm crying
I know our hearts
Aren't very smart
But you're gonna have to learn
Learn when it isn't you turn
Somehow

'Cause I'm gonna be the only one
Falling apart right now

Now don't you lose your mind
While I'm looking for mine
You're gonna have to stay strong
A little longer this time
I know our hearts
Aren't a la carte
But baby being blue
When it comes to me and you
It's always on the menu
So sit down

Because I'm gonna be the only one
Falling apart right now

Now don't you fall apart
When you're breaking my heart
Why don't you get in line
Behind the tears I'm crying
I know our hearts
Aren't very smart
But you're gonna have to learn
Learn when it isn't you turn
Your gonna have to keep it together
Somehow
'Cause I'm gonna be the only one
I'm going to be the only one
I'm going to be the only one
Falling apart right now

let's hear chris isaak after this sometime.
oh my

jukebox music

like what you will hear in a tavern in Milstadt, IL, which is not far away from Belleville
ohhhh

fancy that

wilco playing country rock

i wonder where they picked that up

in the shadows of the Stag beer brewing tower in Belleville, IL,  circa 1988
My first job in radio was at a country station despite my musical preference being Top 40.  So this song really hits me.  I like it.  An 8 right off the bat.
Cool hurtin' song!

I just caught the last of it, reminded me of the Grateful Dead.
instant 8. Recorded very well also.

Second listen goes to 9. Wish more music were recorded this well.

Had the privilege of seeing them perform this album in its entirety at Solid Sound. This album is incredible and has hints of Uncle Tupelo, early Wilco, and the benefit of many years of playing together.

saw them in NH on J Tweedy's birthday - wonderful show, and oddly hyper-intense/raw instrumentals at times. Played tunes from all over, including the new album. Kazoo was such a fan; really was there in spirit. We enjoyed Uncle Tupelo and all the Tweedy & Farrar releases since. a great night

I misheard the lyric "... the only one fallin' apart right now"
instead heard
"... the only one born in a barn...
this is growing on me and I love Jeff’s lyrical humor…
Love this!
this kicks ass!

they're revisitng their UT roots!

Roots in Belleville,IL!

Very Dead sounding...I'm not a huge Wilco fan but this interesting
So happy to live in the Chicago area, Wilco's home base.  I've been lucky to see them about 5 times so far.  Each concert is totally different and fantastic!
Very dead
Hate country music (well, modern country), but when Wilco does it, it sounds great.  Good job Wilco.

The last 2 years were great for Wilco if this is the result.

This may be new Wilco, but it kinda sounds like old Wilco.

Gotta go with an immediate initial 7 rating on this BRAND NEW Wilco tune.
