Wine is sweet and gin is bitter
Drink while you can but you won't forget her

You talk too much, you laugh too loud
You see her face in every crowd

That's the price of love, the price of love
The debt you pay with tears and pain
The price of love, the price of love
It costs you more when you're to blame

Kiss one girl, kiss another
Kiss 'em all but you won't recover

You're dancin' slow, you're dancin' fast
You're happy now but that won't last

That's the price of love, the price of love
The debt you pay with tears and pain
The price of love, the price of love
It costs you more when you're to blame

That's the price of love, the price of love
The debt you pay with tears and pain
The price of love, the price of love
It costs you more when you're to blame

Wine is sweet and gin is bitter
Drink while you can but you won't forget her

You won't forget her

unfortunately Robert is autotuned to the point of me saying his contribution is unnecessary… Allison is always haunting
Ah yes, "The Price of Love", as opposed to "The Cost of Love" (written by Mark Goldenberg, performed by Linda Ronstadt).

No, I wouldn't have guessed that either.

I remember the Roxy Music version, too....
Good vibe to this track,  must hear more from this album!

Any idea who writes the songs?

You know what?  I wish the songwriters were listed for all of these tracks.  I think that would be fascinating in a lot of cases.

Bill??  Pretty please??   :)
pretty ballad but try her "I Lie Awake" for a beautiful one

Huh.  Probably the one and only time I knew something about music that Bill didn't  -- and now he knows too!  Dangit!  (How 'bout we play some Everly Bros. once in a while?)

Enjoy the Krauss/Plant collaborations and Allison's sweet vocals just melt my heart with "The Price of Love".  Starting at 8 but may revise upward...
Listen to the music. The answer is there.  This album has been a long time coming.
Really liking this new album... Another one to buy!!
