I can't see where you comin' from
But I know just what you runnin' from:
And what matters ain't the "who's baddest" but
The ones who stop you fallin' from your ladder, baby

And you feel like you feelin' now
And doin' things just to please your crowd,
When I love you like the way I love you,
And I suffer, but I ain't gonna cut you 'cause

This ain't no place for no hero.
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."

This ain't no place for no hero.
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."

Every time I close my eyes, I think,
I think about you inside,
And your mother, givin' up on askin' why -
Why you lie, and you cheat, and you try to make
A fool outta she...

I can't see where you comin' from,
But I know just what you're runnin' from.
And what matters ain't the "who's baddest," but the
Ones who stop you fallin' from your ladder, 'cause

This ain't no place for no hero.
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."

How You Like Me Now? (The Heavy song)

I thought c lo green and had to see who was in the band.
These last few songs are starting to feel like a playlist for the Ukrainian troops
I always wondered if the intro is either someone shuffling forward on gravel (possibly almost shot-to-death cowboy) or someone digging a grave...
Excellent!!
YEAH
Respect!xx

"This ain't no place for no hero" = double negative = this IS a place for a hero?

Isn't it a triple negative?

A worthy ambition.

I can't stop thinking of Donny Hathaway.

Well, double negatives like that are common in conversational, less “educated,” English and have been used countless times in popular music lyrics, and successfully, such as in Sheryl Crow’s “All I Wanna Do”: “This ain’t no disco...” and of course the word “wanna” is not “proper” English either.  This is not an issue for me, and not surprising.  What is surprising though, is there was no mention in these comments of the fact that the opening melody is a variation of, but very similar to, the main tune of “House of the Rising Sun,” which is a really old song and now in the public domain, so there’s no worry about copyright infringement.

This song is so cool... so full of soul. It just scratches the itch.

To me, this song has always felt like an instant classic, timeless, something that has always been there!
And now, with all of you talking about it, I want to play that game that has THIS as a theme

YES.
Sounds like someone eating chips...
9 --> 10. An overdue bump.
