agree that Layla and this tune were overplayed, but when I heard Layla I bought the album and really got into it. Duane Allman was there and made a huge difference. One of my favorites is a possible 'toss off' tune, Thorntree in the Garden by Bobby Whitlock. Generally not into Love Songs, I enjoyed this one most.

I've always loved this entire album. I remember the very first time I heard Layla at a college dance in 1970-1. I'm afraid his recent anti-coronavirus restrictions project with Van Morrison has turned me off them both.

This album is TERRIFIC beginning to end. And if this track ain't one of the best "don't go/come back" songs, I don't know what is. LLRP!

Anything from this album, even "Layla," starts at 8 and goes up.

Since "Layla" is entirely overplayed, it's easy to see how the rest of this fine album is forgotten.
Terrific song. Terrific album.
Was this really out of RP circulation for 10 years? If so, would love to know why.
What can you say? Kind of sets the bar for a certain sound and feel.
Classic song, never gets old...Outstanding guitar, vocals, lyrics, harmonies

If we stopped listening to music produced by artists with stupid political ideas we wouldn't have much to listen to. I learned a long time ago to separate the art from the politics.
