I swear I'm not making this up. I literally just got done charging these new semi-pricey earbuds I got this afternoon and of course when I'm ready to try them out where do I go but here? So this song that I've never even heard is on 'flac' and I'm just kinda' shaking my head. Great great sound. Thank you 'RP'.

I like the bassline, and the "here" emphasis... some cool bits in it. I love synths and all kinds of them though so that's me.
Not generally an electro phan, but this is a good rowing tune. Happy for the machines and technology and the way it goes on and on. Bleep. 8.

I might be more tolerant of the unwelcome techno-pop vibe if it didn't go on for 8 minutes. And some of us listen to the hi-def stream on players with better audio options. PSD is not an option.
I'll give deadmau5 a pass for the cool album cover, and RP a pass for following this with "Subterranean Homesick Alien".

There is something about this which is meant to be a little disturbing I think. I hear it as the soundtrack of dystopia. As if it were meant to sound harmless but becomes relentless and unstoppable as it repeats beats in perfect grid-locked rhythm stripped of soul or even human expression. It's a forced march into the "perfect" future and an extreme example of the misuse of total control. I was having a terrible reaction to all that until it occurred to me that it's possible he meant to do that.

Lovin' this.Usually not a fan, but this song is reminisient of the theme song for "Rita" (tv series), which I like.
More of an Acid Cat fan myself...
Funny, I like how he's combining cats and mice, both in the album cover photo and the wiki page pic showing him on stage with mouse ears and a Puma t-shirt.....still a 7 on this one...LLRP!!

A month later, I heard it again and got curious about the title and researched it: The story of how the published song came together from a semi-random internet-connected collaboration I found really fascinating.

Never too sure 'bout Deadmau5 ...this sounds owl city ish to me.
I am taking this song out of the threes which is dead city for me and giving it a 5 which is like bringing it back from the dead. Rarely happens for me

I've felt the way you've commented a lot lately, and in reading my older posts (under my prev username) I was a lot like that (I guess age does broaden ones horizons, eh?)
That being said, I did find BnR's "about RP" statement to be elucidating to the topic of "STFU and quit your bitching" vs. "I'm not feeling this one, sorry" - so yeah...Long Live RP!!

I’ve long believed that some listeners like to kid themselves that they have eclectic tastes but lack the necessary tolerance to truly appreciate eclectic radio.
