A lot of favouriting, rating, and playlist building has made to realize that what I like, simply, is strings. I'm a sucker for them.

Maybe you guys are being harsh. Perhaps this is only a 5 on Radio Paradise, but in the wider context of all the music in the world, it's more an 8...
Nice voice, dreadfully boring songs. Shame! He could do so much more! What a waste of a great talent!

Nottingham Jury is spot on with this comment... This track kinda leaves you waiting for something epic coming in from behind Sievert, but ultimately disappoints.

Now it all comes together. I have fallen in love with the Norwegian TV show "Occupied" available with subtitles on Netflix. (Must watch). The theme song is "Black & Gold" and so good, that I went googling to discover it's Sivert Høyem. That voice.

With every new album he begins to sound more like Roger Whittaker.
Listening to music while I sleep, and he may read in his sleep.
He has a great voice but the vocal effects make him sound like the lighthouse family.

Agreed. He has such a powerful, emotive voice. But this arrangement doesn't let it shine. Still good, but not great like some of his other stuff, especially his live ones.
