Let the life lead you out [x8]

Why can't you take the leaf off your mouth?
Now that you have the facts on your side
Take a moment to reflect where you're from
Let reason guide you,
See old tracks take you out from the dark
See old tracks lead you up to the stars

Why can't you take the leaf off your mouth?
Now that you have the facts on your side
Take a moment to reflect where you're going
Let reason guide you,
See old tracks take you out from the dark
See old tracks lead you up to the stars

Let the life lead you out [x12]

Why can't you take the leaf off your mouth?
Now that you have the facts on your side
Take a moment to reflect who we are
Let reason guide you,
See old tracks lead you out from the dark
Have a life its life, work makes up you and I
What it takes this right, when we need to survive
Yeah we flourish and die, what it means to be alive
What it means to be alive

Let the life lead you out [x12]

His voice single-handedly ruined Zero 7.

I think the one ring affected you too much
His voice single-handedly ruined Zero 7.
From stuff he did with Zero 7 to Junip, Jose is very talented...
Good Tune!
Mine is "let the light be on"
which feels like a command from a very polite person with a god complex

Just what I needed to hear and think about :)

It would be easier to understand the lyrics if he'd take the leaf off his mouth. {#Mrgreen}

Sounds to me more like the production, not his enunciation.

Dull.
This has a lazy Sunday afternoon vibe.
outstanding lyrics!
Unfortunately, the rest of his tunes are not quite as good.
Sometimes the lyrics just smack you in the face with relevance. In this particularly melodic case, it wasn't an unpleasant experience.
Not all earworms are bad. Gonzalez's mantra will help me get to sleep tonight.

Let the life lead you out...out of the dark.
It's a profound and beautiful song.  And it makes perfect sense.  x 12

Look how lively you are,

I first heard "Let the light leave off". That made even less sense after a dozen repeats.

I think it suffers from its low-fi quality, like it was made on a 1972 Realistic portable cassette recorder. Some folks really need a studio for their vocals to sound less muffled.

Agreed.
Waking up to this song, and it's fitting the bill perfectly.
But it does sound as though it was recorded in a city bus.

Love this guy's stuff.  For me, the production leaves a lot to be desired and detracts from the fine tune.  Still at least a 7 from the Bristol office, though.  Might even grab an 8....

Have really come to appreciate him. Awesome musician! Just wish he didn't add the distortion to his voice...
Dude's awesome.
Very nice.

I really like the understatement of it, don't find it blah at all.

Not for me, tho' I usually like mashups.

Hope he leaves soon.
