Let's dance little stranger
Show me secret sins
Love can be like bondage
Seduce me once again

Burning like an angel
Who has heaven in reprieve
Burning like the voodoo man
With devils on his sleeve

Won't you dance with me
In my world of fantasy?
Won't you dance with me?
Ritual fertility.

Like an apparition
You don't seem real at all
Like a premonition
Of curses on my soul

The way I want to love you
Well it could be against the law
I've seen you in a thousand minds
You've made the angels fall

Won't you dance with me
In my world of fantasy?
Won't you dance with me?
Ritual fertility.

Oh come on little stranger
There's only one last dance
Soon the music's over
Let's give it one more chance.

Won't you dance with me
In my world of fantasy?
Won't you dance with me?
Ritual fertility.

Take a chance with me
In my world of fantasy.
Won't you dance with me?
Ritual fertility.

One for those who claim the eighties were good.

The 80s were great...it's not their fault you are a dork...
Tasty.  Love me some 80's cheese...
A blast from the past, I don’t care what these peeps say, lords were fun!
If I were the DJ back in '83, I'd follow this with Don't Go by Yaz. Keep the dance floor packed!

I love the comments for this one.  They weren't "great", but I loved the fact that Stiv never took himself too seriously. It was supposed to be kind of cheesy and over the top.

Never heard this before. I was working on something and couldn't check who or when this was. I guessed 1983.
Not my cup of grog.   3...
That had to be the oddest, craziest, and maybe most successful segue of all time.
Funny, yesterday I heard the cover by Nouvelle Vague on some radio and today the original song here.
Didn't know The Barracudas connection until I read up on this band.
Love this...:)
{#Cool}
Really?
R.I.P. Stiv
An old favorite!{#Bananajam}
Wow, haven't heard this since around the time it came out... It reminds me of Kaiser Chiefs, a band I used to hear here but not lately...

You have to wonder whether his friends and lovers could see the scrawling on the wall for Stiv. Two gemlike nuggets from Wikipedia (how did I miss these the first time!?!):

The Lords became notorious for their live shows. A devotee of Iggy Pop, Bators had developed a fearless reputation in his Dead Boys days and continued such antics with The Lords, the most famous being the time he reportedly hanged himself during a show. Bator's stunt went awry and he was pronounced clinically dead for several minutes. Nonetheless, Bator survived and The Lords recorded two more successful albums.

In mid-1990, Bators was struck by a taxi in Paris during a bank holiday. He was taken to a hospital but reportedly left before seeing a doctor, after waiting several hours and assuming he was not injured. Reports indicate that he died in his sleep as the result of a concussion.

That boy was not blessed with a strong survival instinct.
I don't know if serious or joke or  just virtual fertility
             Evil breeds voodoo man.

When men were coiffed, women were lycra-ed, and furry creatures from Alpha Centauri were real furry creatures from Alpha Centauri.

They might have been overprocessed in the studio but they were real drums.

Wow - not heard this in many years...an 80's classic!

Dunno how old or new this one is - but it is as flat as their first one!

Lacks anything rock-music is all about!

Opium-Eaters, I assume!

You know there's other punctuation you could try using to end sentences.

Except they predate the Mode, so who's cloning whom?
Excellent - Instant 9!

Got—sadly Stiv's no longer with us. According to Wikipedia, one girl got the most of Stiv:

"In the director's commentary of the film Polyester (starring Bators) with John Waters; regarding Bators' death, Waters stated that Bators' Parisian girlfriend Caroline confessed to him years later that she snorted a portion of Stiv's ashes to be closer to him."

Ah, the 80s — when men were men, and drumming was electronic.
Stiv gets all the babes.

Still dig it a lot.
Cool!
Stiv LIVES!
