I have no proof of this, but I think this song is inspired by Bach's Prelude no. 2 in the Well Tempered Clavier. I love them both.
I don't find this repetitive as much as building and standing still at the same time. love it.

Love this song and the way it builds. I used to travel internationally a lot for work and it became a habit to always play this song as a plane came in to land, so that it was building up to the fast instrumental section as we approached the runway. Became a bit of an obsession. Can't explain why other than superstition, but always believed things would end well as long as this song was playing as we touched down.

Fink is one band I seek out when I need space.. when the family are noisy, arguing, invasive and I *need* to be alone in a whole other world. I can be found making an excuse to do the dishes in a rather lengthy manner, headphones on, bashing the bread board, enthralled.

Cant agree with northeast 9 more!! We are 64 and 61 respectively, take a similar musical experience and have RP playing this stuff in the background or upfront continually. This is a great track. Its brilliant. Couple this great range of music with skiing everyday in Austria and we are living the dream. Thanks guys.
