One of the better songs from this album - I like the edgy REM!
Leave. Please leave... Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

a rare "1" for me...

Totally ditto!

Quite a polarizing track for sure. One of R.E.M.'s great epics IMO, and that siren loop is a stroke of genius.

This song is well-named at least.  These guys ran out of ideas sometime between Green and Out of Time and everything since is just recycled versions of the same stuff.

For some reason I have always liked this song, car alarm included.

You nailed it!
One of REM's obvious lack of inspiration moments. What's worse is that it lasts too long.

Arrrrrrgh! Make it stop!

Agreed, I love this band but this song is seriously hard to listen to with that racket
Please god make it stop!  The godawful racket in this track sounds like a piece of machinery gone horribly wrong!  This song doesn't normally sound like this - what happened to it?!  {#Stop}

Propably the best song, on their best album in my opinion.

This is probably the only REM album I won't hit the PSD button when hearing.  The rest of their material is pretty much indefinitely burned out on me.  Glad to hear it on RP.

I love this song.  The alarm sound feels like a sonic force field expanding above and all around , pushing the crazy world back so me and the flowers have room to breath. The alarm might seem a little out of place in my beautiful space, but it’s formidable against the crazy world so I love it.. cherish it, in fact.

ok
Always loved this track. Underrated album.
Propably the best song, on their best album in my opinion.
