You made your bed, you lie it, that's what we told
But if the end of the world is coming this weekend, there's no getting old

Throw caution to the wind, be brave,
there's no time now to be saved
It's too late to repent,
don't bother with the rent

There's threesomes to arrange,
last minute I'll start a bar fight, over short change

There's rules you see, and laws we told we must obey
But if the end of the world is coming sometime today,
I'm not gonna behave

Throw caution to the wind, be brave,
there's no time now to be saved
It's too late to repent,
don't bother with the rent

There's mescaline to drink
Last minute I think I'll fly to New York, skate on Central Park's rink

Hey hey hey hey, hey hey hey hey
Looks like we gonna die tomorrow anyway
Hey hey hey hey, hey hey hey hey
Tonight I think I'm gonna throw my name

Beware, the fun-police will come,
to lock up everyone,
'til there's nowhere left to run,
and no saviour has come...

Throw caution to the wind, be brave,
there's no time now to be saved
It's too late to repent,
don't bother with the rent
There's so much left to do,
last minute I think I'll be like Desmond & The Tutus,
and get a tattoooooo.....

Yeah, great advice.
Until the end of world doesn't happen "this weekend" and you're stuck with a late fee for non-payment of your rent.
As an Ani fan...well, this is right in my wheel house...

New one for me, so it's the delightful eight outta the gate....

The rhyming scheme is simplistic and the lyrics are juvenile.

Do give us an example of your deathless poesy.

That's 'Ani Di Dranco' according to the notes - taken from her website.

But yeah, I thought it was Ani at first. Which is fine with me.

Too Ani DiFranco for me.
Incredibly poignant for the upcoming weekend, the the week following.  1/13/21.
Thanks Bill!

Happened again. Missed Bill's intro and was expecting, and actually looking forward to, a female "Play Me" cover. Like this song much better the second time though, 6->8.
Such a pretty little song covering lyrics that are grim or outrageously funny depending on your point of view.  I vote 8 on first listen.

(Hey Mayans? What up?)

Its funny that I have to listen to RP to hear new music from where I am from South Africa.

THanks for all the great music!

Hey bud, totally agree... I've never heard of her before. RP is just soooooo awesome. I wonder who uploaded this? Thanks to you.

I'm hearing Ani DiFranco influence.

Cool 7 - could go higher
I was expecting a Neil Diamond cover with that guitar melody.

This song squeezes my gizzards...  beautiful...

she sounds a little like Billie Holiday...

I'm trying to figure out where she has the capo on the acoustic...

darn...waited too long. Still hate it though!
Yey, I'm the first comment! Here is it.......{#Frustrated}
Nice song, once the tempo picks up...
This is just not working for me.
