So let's give them some credit - it's very different from the original, which is a tough act to follow.

These folks get a 10 on audacity to cover, and I'll give them a 7 rating on quality of delivery.

Could go higher on a second listen.

Having played the original to death, I have an easy time agreeing with you.

You don't often hear a Pink Floyd cover -- who would dare -- but on it's own merits, I like this.  A fresh take on a song that no longer does it for me like it used to.

I agree with you very much!

And I second the motion.......the original is ingrained in our minds in such a way, such an extreme-sounding cover only makes the original even more appreciated!! {#Heartkiss}

Yeah - its such a great composition that this is not bad, but when you're up against such a definitive recording there is nowhere to go but down!
Actually not that terrible. Parts make me cringe...parts make me say 'hmmm, that's interesting.' Kudos go for the courage to cover a song that (apparently) many feel is un-coverable.
Lighten up!  Really, it's just music. Give them credit for at least, choosing a great song to cover. And to RP for playing it! Thank you for being creative and obviously from these comments, "going out on a limb". That's what I love about RP.
I start by giving credit for selecting this song, which is incredible.  Also I wondered which of the harmonized part would be sung individually during "Forward he cried from the rear And the front..."  Unfortunately it just doesn't have the same effect when sung by one.  The piano and guitar work is not too shabby, but just can't stand up to the original.  Makes me want to put on the original... Give it a 4

by far not my favourite pf song, but it certainly does not reserve such an utterly boring cover
I can't quite call it blasphemy - early Floyd themselves did covers of other artists.

Takes a lot of balls though to try and pull this off. I give them credit for that.
Oh god it just keeps getting worse.  Mind numbing drum track, and the endless droning on the keyboard. STOP PLEASE.
Apparently thats the singer from the Cardigans....

Treading on hallowed ground... not working for me. Prefer the original, why mess with perfection.

quite possibly the most useless and unnecessary cover I've ever heard.

OUCH!  PSD!

What's next? A Cheryl Crowe cover of A Day in the Life?

For as often as Pink Floyd is played around here, any departure from the norm is welcome.  Thanks for playing an interesting cover!

I agree!!
Why?
Another addition to the WTF? category.....
I like. This song still sounds good when stripped of its production bombast.

I... just... what?  Was there a reason to do this?  The mind-numbing drum track makes me want to kick a puppy.
Really?   I don't think so.
Why? This seems like someone decided would be fun to play after a night of partying.
Needless!!
interesting take on Pink {#Stupid}
oh no. no. no.no.
This hurts the ears.    PSD'ed
Pleeeasssse...

I realize it's coverable... but there appears to be no upside in trying to repaint the Mona Lisa.
Nope.  This is just wrong.
Yay, I'm first! So far I like it.
NOOOOOO!!!   Not good!
