I can't see where you comin' from
But I know just what you runnin' from:
And what matters ain't the "who's baddest" but
The ones who stop you fallin' from your ladder, baby

And you feel like you feelin' now
And doin' things just to please your crowd,
When I love you like the way I love you,
And I suffer, but I ain't gonna cut you 'cause

This ain't no place for no hero.
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."

This ain't no place for no hero.
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."

Every time I close my eyes, I think,
I think about you inside,
And your mother, givin' up on askin' why -
Why you lie, and you cheat, and you try to make
A fool outta she...

I can't see where you comin' from,
But I know just what you're runnin' from.
And what matters ain't the "who's baddest," but the
Ones who stop you fallin' from your ladder, 'cause

This ain't no place for no hero.
This ain't no place for no better man.
This ain't no place for no hero
To call "home."

Longmire!!
Love this tune. Conjures up memories of Borderlands 2.
LOL I heard this in the movie Tommy Boy and didnt realize it was a real song. Chris Farley was signing it.

LOVE The HEAVY!! FACT: This is the only musical guests on late night with David Letterman to EVER, in it's history, play an encore. Then to top it off the next time they were on, once again they got to play another encore. That is how good this band is - in your face!{#Notworthy}

The Drive By Truckers were asked back by Dave to play the same song again. Everybody needs Love.

Wow! I almost forgot what Popeye sounded like until  you mentioned it

"Homes fit for 'heroes' Towards the end of the war, Prime Minister David Lloyd George promised that returning soldiers would have 'homes fit for heroes'. This meant more than just a good quality house; it meant that Britain would provide a higher standard of living for all"
.
And there'll be blue birds (not even native to these shores),
and jam tomorrow boys
just you wait and see.
.
But look at it now...
"oh, what happened to,
my greeee-eeen,
and pleasant land?"
I actually listened to the song as I skipped it when I heard the intro.

I like it, just do not like the use of the TGB&TU theme in the intro.
The Good, the Bad, and the Heavy.

There is a paramilitary/spy series out in the interwebs called Strike Back that used this as the theme song. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...(TV_series)  It was actually a fun watch (the American character was an Aussie and the British character was American... and they were def eye candy)

Smoke & Thunder!

I thought c lo green and had to see who was in the band.
These last few songs are starting to feel like a playlist for the Ukrainian troops
I always wondered if the intro is either someone shuffling forward on gravel (possibly almost shot-to-death cowboy) or someone digging a grave...
Excellent!!
YEAH
Respect!xx

Well, double negatives like that are common in conversational, less “educated,” English and have been used countless times in popular music lyrics, and successfully, such as in Sheryl Crow’s “All I Wanna Do”: “This ain’t no disco...” and of course the word “wanna” is not “proper” English either.  This is not an issue for me, and not surprising.  What is surprising though, is there was no mention in these comments of the fact that the opening melody is a variation of, but very similar to, the main tune of “House of the Rising Sun,” which is a really old song and now in the public domain, so there’s no worry about copyright infringement.

This song is so cool... so full of soul. It just scratches the itch.

To me, this song has always felt like an instant classic, timeless, something that has always been there!
And now, with all of you talking about it, I want to play that game that has THIS as a theme

YES.
Sounds like someone eating chips...
9 --> 10. An overdue bump.
I keep waiting for 'the good, the bad, and the ugly' to start

Agreed, we'd probably hear some choice swearing and spongier sounds. Yuck!
Just as well he didn't walk on the cat :)

Strike Back Redemption (the TV show) is all that plus you get to watch smart tough women kick ass.
This song is so good Clint should reprieve the spaghetti western genre just for it.

first heard this song from the borderlands 2 soundtrack glad to hear it on here. 9
A groove that made me take notice. Nice.
Wow, almost soulful. Not the usual fake voice, sampled crapola which passes for R&B nowadays
This is good - never heard of them.

The  Cure too does this well.

Well according to Bill's statistics for this song:

Last play: Aug 14, 2015
Plays in last 30 days: 3

3 times in the last 30 days does not constitute overplayed in my book. Hit the PSD button and move on.

OK liked it a lot first time, even more now.  Better bust out the album for a listen.
First thing I remember about this song is driving just short of a thousand kilometers for some dyke construction supervision.

It was unsatisfying.

It was lucrative.

The song is great.

But more heroic than it pretends to.
How you like me now?  Love these guys, great vibe.
I can see Clint Eastwood squinting . . . .
I could wear Flares to this.

Very very cool retro effects in this song.  Song is worth a rating of 6.5, but with the cool production, it goes up to 8!

My comment is in reference to the people of this country, not its leaders, lobbyists, or those who profit (financially, politically or in any other way) from wars. I guess I am something of an idealist. I cannot (perhaps, will not) believe that people, as a whole, would celebrate any facet of "man's inhumanity to man". I agree with you. American (or any other) chauvinists are not sensitive. I just hope we are not all chauvinistic in attitude or action. None of this has anything to do with your attitude, only my hopes. Peace Brother.

Peace right back atchya, brother.  Peace.  It's what I want for Christmas.  It's really the only thing I want for Christmas.  (Come on, Santa; I KNOW you're listening.)
