If I was listen to I'd turn back
Give up on my reasons
Forgive up the past
You think I'd swallow that?
Bearing weight in ceilings
Just to stop and ask of Thora Zine
Thora Zine, Thora Zine, Thora Zine
They give you this
They take away that
Thora Zine

There'll be no others
There'll be no long lost friends
Empty on the insides
Empty of a last pretense
To stand by on feeling of the end
So many lives
A runaway life
So many lies
When they locked you up they shut me out
Gave me the key so I could ahow you round
You were not allowed
Omens of the daydream
But caught as you're bound in Thora Zine
Thora Zine, Thora Zine, Thora Zine
They give you this
They take away that
Thora Zine

There'll be no rallies
There'll be no long lost friends
Caught on a spotlight running out of present tense
To fix by an feeling of an end
So many lives
A runaway life
Please come back
Please come back
Please come back pale horse

Agreed.  All the tracks I've heard from this album are meh.

Didn't recognize this as Smashing Pumpkins.  Is there anything on Pale Horse that sounds anything like Cherub Rock, Today, 1979, etc - Siamese Dreams, Mellon Collie tracks ?

Billy, please lay off the decaf, green teas, and prozacs. We miss you.

Oh dear sweet baby Jeebus yes.
Thorazine or not, I like it.

My sentiments, exactly.
Billy, please lay off the decaf, green teas, and prozacs. We miss you.

Very nice, and I'm usually not a fan.

Wow. i could've sworn i heard Mick Jagger singing.
Time for a better headset!
I'm not a big Pumpkins fan (except for pumpkin pie) but I do like the little hook in this one.
I've never understood the argument "IT'S NOT SMASHING PUMPKINS WITHOUT CHAMBERLAIN AND/OR IHA AND/OR D'ARCY". It's always been Billy Corgan (he also played pretty much all the instruments on the first few studio albums) and then everyone else. How is it that bands like The Cure and The Shins, where the front man/lead singer is the only constant, get a pass? Is it because Smashing Pumpkins was marketed as a band whereas the others weren't? Just wondering. Until then I'm going to say things like "IT'S NOT THE CURE WITHOUT LOL TOLHURST!"

You can see how this is going to go.  Great 90s band trying to be relevant again = automatic low ratings.  That's a hate magnet if there ever was one.

You know there is a reason for that most of the times it sucks when they do that. As for this, Billy Corgan singing? All I need to hear. 1

Ah, Smashing Pumpkins, so satisfying.  Liked Zeitgeist also.  Blasting Zeitgeist I should say!!

Wow, pumpkins or not, a good track, Made my ears prick up.

Surprisingly good. Bodes well for the album; seems like it will be more listenable than Machina.

Not bad, but I just have a hard time accepting it as The Smashing Pumpkins without James Iha.

Or Jimmy Chamberlin.
So happy to be hearing new stuff from the pumpkins!

What.....the....hell???
I've liked the Pumpkins for a long time (including the Zwan period) and I also think this is a good comeback.
