When you're privileged you don't even know you're privileged
When you're not, you know
When you're happy you don't even know you're happy
When you're not, you know

Righteous heathen
Blinded and seeing
You're next you're before
You're pompous you are poor
You're hungry yet strangely
You're working like crazy
Selling buying
Laughing and crying

High low middle
High low middle
High low middle
Keep yourself low, but not too low

Saving wasting
Dying for a tasting
Banging for a buck
And you're shit and out of luck

Are you fat or are you eating up your hat
Are you fat
Are you

High low middle
High low middle
High low middle
Keep yourself low, but not too low

Lord help you when you're growing old
Lord help you when you're tired and cold
Lord help you when the dealings done
Lord help you when the gettin's gone

Ironic Bill mentioned the PSD feature before this song....wisdom on his part?! LOL...
Please, no more. PLEASE!
Looks like this set is a 'Can you tell sh*t from shinola?".session.
Truth! {#Dancingbanana_2}swinging!
Gee, I don't know about Uranus, but I have been to Mianus in Stamford, CT.

WARNING - -  CRAP SONG!! I deeply appreciate how RP goes to the ends of the Earth and beyond to find entertaining, unconventional music but this time, you've gone TOO FAR! This is from Uranus.

Just thought you might like to know you got your 15 minutes (well seconds) of fame today on RP.
Another vote for Mary Hopkin!
Great Tune!  Out there....but very cool.

Has a slight Mary Hopkin sound to her voice, which I have to say...I like. Maybe mostly for nostalgic reasons. This has a slight 1930's arrangement to it. Like the shuffle and razzmatazz feel to it.

Wow - wouldn't it be lovelly to hear 'Those Were The Days' (Mary Hopkin) pop up on here, one of these days !

Sort of agree.
Thanks for the middle reminder, sometimes I tend to forget about it.

Awful. Cringeworthy.
I had it as a 2 but bucked it up to a 7. It is kind of quirky and odd but it has some personality.
Pretentious.

Well, personally I am repeatedly hitting the 1 rating to try to get rid of it. I hate the tune, the lyrics, everything about it.

I keep doing that too, voting down songs in hopes they will go away.

But, like voting in the national elections, it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Weird = good.

HAHAHAHAHA!  "Are you fat"?

Is this calisthenics music?  "High, low, middle", like 'head and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes"?

Rating = 8 because this will always make me smile!

Please play some tracks from the first My Brightest Diamond album. Very different from this track.
No thanks

"Are you fat?  Are you?"  How can you NOT like a song with these wacky lyrics?  And the crazed horns and woodwinds to accompany them?

Lord help you when the getting's gone.

edit:  Bridge, engine room!  She's climbed to 5.6; we might see our way out of this yet!

Sorry.
Made me laugh. That's worth at least a 6. {#Cheers}

Captain! 5.5 and still falling! She canna take it
I love Shara's first album, "Bring Me the Workhorse." RP should add some tracks from that album, specifically "Dragonfly," "Golden Star" or "Gone Away."

Very different from this track. I wasn't into her second album as much as her first, so perhaps I should give this one a listen. Thanks!
Cripes...lighten up folks. Don't be so ignorant. Maybe some Music appreciation 101 would help. Thanks Bill for infusing the ether with something fresh and provocative.
Oooh, good horn always catches my ear....and increases my rating {#Dance}
Dear God...I feel I'm doing it a favor by bestowing a solid 1 on it.
I'm absolutely subjective about anything I hear from her because I saw her live this summer.  She has a supreme presence on stage.
She is overwhelming. So tiny and yet radiating like a sun.
She's one of the strongest musical encounters I have had in many years.
And she does have quite a sense of humor, just in case... Judging from some comments, some of you have perceived it alright {#Yes}

Ditto...I can so do without this. Reminds me of Tiny Tim

Fun song!

Another singer influenced by Yoko Ono.  Say what you will about the lady - and people often due - she was a very influential artist, obviously on her husband and son, but also on many performers.
I think this is fun.
What's a PSD button for if not this?

Ok, some bozo gave this a 10. I doubt the band itself would have even given this a 10.

Three bozi, actually. I like it but gave it a 4 using my rating system based on how often I'd like hearing this or another like it again (rather than "how good it is," which is way too judgmental for my limited music knowledge).
Her voice has a hint of Mary Hopkin of 'Those Were The Days' fame. This is lite and fun to say the least. Have to agree with the below comment though...not a a kind transition.
Doesn't flow right after Foo Fighters
This is so much fun!
I wouldn't give it a 10 because I feel like 10 presupposes there is something epic about a song and this song is too light and fun to be epic. (I would think that God, if there were a God, would be sort of epic.) That said I will raise my rating from an 8 to a 9. It is masterfully performed and produced.
Ok, some bozo gave this a 10. I doubt the band itself would have even given this a 10.
Woo, more from the woman who did the massive voice of the queen in the Queens Rebuke in the Decemberists - The Hazards of Love.
If you're in the mood for 'kitchy' ~ which apparently I am, this Monday morning.
