Solitary motion, in the wake of an avalanche
Deer in the headlights, there goes a weaker one
He's listenin' in the fast gaze, I don't care now to see the way
Do you hear the silence? I was far too late

Oh living for the city, and it's always troubling
to keep it in the hot lane, I don't care about no scenery
and you run from it then, now you can't escape, cause it's all you see
But we're all just an end to a simple thing, and it's all you see, and it's all you see

We're just tamer animals
We're just tamer animals

Solitary motion, in the wake of an avalanche
We too ka hit then, trying to see if you hold it in
and you run from it then, now you can't escape, cause it's all you see
But we're all just an end to a simple thing, and it's all you see, and it's all you see

We're just tamer animals
We're just tamer animals
We're just tamer animals

Aw man... this song was pulled out of rotation?  This was a Radio Paradise classic!

The music video with stop-motion toy animation is worth checking out.
Whoa kind of like old Interpol...
Here's a 9
When a song makes me turn up the volume, I give it 10 points.
my banana do not move in this song  ok ok moves
One of the many positives about this song for me is that despite the title and provided lyrics, I still hear the chorus as "We're the same as animals" at least as often as the actual words.  It must be a quantum object in a state of superposition, and it is only when I actually listen to a verse that it resolves as one or the other.   On a side note, today my shuffled playlist provided a nice, if obvious thematic transition that would be right up Bill's alley:  Pearl Jam - Animals, for a somewhat different take on the idea.

Ditto for me, thanks for posting the link ;-)
an archetype for modern rock music. melodic, diverse, eclectic yet sublime, lucid and thoughtful.

Very cool sound! Embodies the Radio Paradise eclectic mix.

OK is the state of Oklahoma.   and I agree with the music comments, but not sure about the OK commentary. maybe.

Truly amazing track. Truly amazing band. Etherial, beautiful. The greatest thing OK has to offer. It's amazing this band comes from OK cause the place is stuck in the 19th century.

Reminds me of The Nationals
Good to wake up to.
There is something so genius about these guys, so talented. Not that I am comparing them, just an analogy for the era. But they have a new and unique sound as cool and fresh as did Genesis in the mid 70's right after Peter left and Genesis put out 3 albums before the POP years.
yeah diggin that hypnotic beat.. {#Music}
{#Daisy} ..... nice stuff Bill - keep it coming
LOVE this band! Keep it coming Bill.
Frikkn awesome band. Just bumped this up from 9 to 10.
Really like the atmosphere here. Their material seems to be improving with time.
Absolutely amazing group, and yes the set they played live on the radio blew me away too, so many bands cannot play live what they create in the studio, it shows the maturity of this band.
Thank you RP for making me discover this amazing band and album.
Sounds like Wintersleep.

I paced. The entire length of the cage. Until I truly heard the song, and it calmed me. As my breathing slowed, I considered a spot to stretch out on. No, not that one, but this one. Calm now. Eyes half closed as the sun warms me.

For how long can you repeat the same brilliant chorus without getting boring. Not much longer than this.

I saw these guys (and gal) perform in Maastricht (Netherlands). Great band, all multi-instrument-players.

The theme of their album seems to be the great depression (which one is up to you to decide), and the performance was accompanied by beautiful images.

....love maastricht....and love this song.......

Liking this as a tag on a great set. Would like to hear more.
I like this.... Bill has done it again!
Just bought this disc - Quite good overall! Very much in the same vein as this song- moody mellow and interesting. Worth a peek.....
Intrigued to know what the rest of the album sounds,go on and play a few more tracks,Bill😉
Hmmm like this,nice production.
They sound a lot like the National. Definitely not a bad thing.

I saw these guys open for Radiohead last week in Atlanta. I'd never heard of them before. They were excellent. Their sound was a lot "bolder" live than on CD, just based on what I've heard. Kind of like The Fleet Foxes on steroids. But based on what I heard, an excellent band.

Great post! Thank you. {#Biggrin}

I too was thinking it sounded like The National, before the vocals kicked in.
