I can't believe it, you of all things.
It's been a while, memories teem.
Some kind of anthem lingering.
Images settle internally.

Ribbons and detours meant nothing to me--
Swaying our sentiments, pulling our strings,
Tempting me softly, but killing our dream.
You said it's over, but maybe it's the same old thing.

I can't believe it, you of all things,
Coming in homage, devious needs.
Intimate outlies, weakening,
Tranquilize slowly inside of me.

Ribbons and detours meant nothing to me,
Swaying our sentiments, pulling our strings,
Tempting me softly, but killing our dream.
You said it's over, but maybe it's the same old thing.

I gave the softest parts, trumped by the darkest parts,
Whispered the tender parts, made of idealistic things.

Ribbons and detours meant nothing to me,
Swaing our sentiments, pulling our strings,
Tempting me softly, but killing our dream.
You said it's over, but maybe it's the same old thing.

It's the same old thing.
It's the same old thing.
It's the same old thing.

Watching the superbowl, but had to return to RP for Silversun Pickups and The Church rather than some grandiose, lip synching Beyonce half time show.  Thanks for being there Radio Paradise.
If Stanley Kubrick's "2001 A Space Odyssey" had an ending credits mainstream pop tune filtering exiting moviegoers today...it would be this song.

...this is very nice; i'm going to have to pick up some more silversun pickups this fall...
Love it.  Reminds me a bit of Band of Skulls which is always cool.

Well, how about uploading some Tool?
Seeing this band live tonight in Santa Ana, California!  Sold out show.  Cannot wait.
second song from this band that I've heard here in two days.
Very different, and both very good. I'm beginning to think that I need to find one (or perhaps all) of their albums.
Wonder what the chances are that you'll play another one tomorrow, and that I'll be listening at the right time?
Cool...and new sound for them...haunting reverb is reminiscent of Durutti Column and the slightly spooky vocals make me think along the lines of Lush, Ivy, the High Violets...  I LIKE IT! Thanks!
really like simile melody lines like this...
Love this.

Oh, wow! A new Silversun Pickups album - that's a must-buy. This is a different and more haunting sound than their previous work, not least in having a female vocalist (the bass player, maybe?). It gives me the willies, which is a good thing. An initial 8 from the haunted and excited Nottingham jury.

Yes, it is somewhat "haunting".  Good tune.  Be careful with those "willies", though, they may want them back.

Very good!
Upping this to an "8" - it's really growing on me!

Caught my ear. Had to check. Surprised (pleasantly). Is this the bass player singing this one? Never can tell with this band.

Yes, it is the bass player. Really nice sound.

Not only for the ears :)

Really dig Silversun Pickups and welcome all new material. This sounds fresh, but still in keeping with their vibe.
