Slow, slow me down,
Her blood, on my bones.
Let go, lay to rest.
We fall, we fall, we fall,
We fall to the ground.

Sleep, sleep all night,
While the young, they wait alone.
So get up, shake the rust.
We crawl, we crawl, we crawl,
We crawl on the ground.

Alone, I fight these animals.
Alone, until I get home.

A wolf, wolf and I,
We share the same cold meal.
I float on, float on down.
We ride, we ride, we ride
We ride it all out.

We ride, we ride, we ride
We ride it all
We ride, we ride, we ride
We ride it all
We ride, we ride, we ride
We ride it all out.

[Repeat: x4]
Alone, I fight these animals.
Alone, until I get home.

Coming back, I'm coming back.
Coming back, I'm coming back.
She follows me into the woods,
Takes me home.
She follows me into the woods,
Takes me home.

[Repeat: x2]
Coming back, I'm coming back.
Coming back, I'm coming back.
She follows me into the woods,
Takes me home.

Not everyone's cup of tea, apparently, but I've had a soft spot for these guys since I saw this video of them freezing their asses off on a windy bluff while playing Mountain Sound for KEXP.
Reminds me of 1986 and Balaam and the Angel.
Fuck all the negative comments.
Tastes really good to my ears...   :-)
At least it's instantly recognizable (I don't dislike it but it gets a little tired)
Very bad song, one is one too much.
This is something for my skip finger. Just horrible.
Pretty sad to read these comments from oldest to newest... we go from 20 or 30 comments with a positive vibe to people shitting all over the band.

You like the negative comments, the band, or, confusingly, both?
wow! There sure are some close minded dinosaur rock loving comments in this thread

solid 1
no sir I didn't like it
Six weeks of monsters and men?
Sounds like a vacation from hell.  ; )
Well, I like the music well enough, but what I really like is Iceland itself. What a beautiful country and wonderful people. If you ever have a chance to visit....do so!
Not me Cup o' Tea is all you should say... if that's the case.  We are hear because we love music... some we know... others we learn to love...or dislike... and Hobbit or Ewok music... LMAO... that would be more wooden music... Hey Frodo... where can I plug in my amp?

I wonder how many songs you have written, recorded, sold or played in front of stadium-sized crowds?

All those non-existent negative comments you don't see? - they're from the musicians listening.

According to wiki: Chamber pop, indie folk, folk pop.

I think their categorization is more accurate.

Some poster on another song called it "Bearded Folk" or something to that effect. To me it all sounds like something you would hear in the Hobbit or Ewok villages - take your pick. Also, what I hear in a lot of these bands is a generation of musicians raised on the music of U2 with their attempts at soaring chorus' and grandiosity. At their best U2 was able to pull off this high-wire act, at their worst the music was pretentious and navel gazing which is why all these U2 disciple bands hue more towards the latter quality than the former.

Wow.  Talk about broad generalizations and pretentiousness.  You might just be stuck with your eye locked on your own navel.  Any lint in there?
Nope.

Redefines average.
There's much better stuff on this album.
Meh.

Oh...I guess maybe some of the female ones don't.

I really don't like these crowdsourcing, flash mob chorus kind of tunes.

Don't know how to say it, but the large-scale voice thing is certainly all the vogue these days

OK, I've heard this a few times now and it is resolutely failing to grow on me.

Just a 4 at the moment. The next time I hear I expect it'll still be flatlining there for me.

Ho hum.
Moar pls

I like it.  I like it better every hearing.  Anything that cheers me up and gets me rockin' is worth a 6 to start, and then add toppings.  {#Dancingbanana_2}
Too much like Mumford and Sons....Not good
Everytime I hear this song I have to raise my rating.  Its growing on me like a cancer—but in a good way.
New Pornographers + Decemberists + Arcade Fire
3 −> 6 it's getting better

I think that BROADSIDE of the harmonica screech in the first bar of the intro is actually the hook... {#Lol}

Hmmm, I don't think so personally.  Like the previous commenter to you said, this song has "grown in me."  (A misinterpretation of the idiom I know, but perhaps it's actually more apropos).  I'm not sure why, it's just a simple but well put-together song.

Too much shouting; too much fuzz guitar; too much echo.

Too much.

In the old days would a band have recorded something like this song? A song with a few wrinkles of creativity wrapped in a 5 1/2 minutes slog? It's good stuff, but this thread will be a flood of negativity a few months from now, when these guys have become as overplayed on U.S. alt. radio as Mumford has.

And used in a commercial or two.

Sounds like David Grey & The New Pornographers.

Not nearly as good as Lionheart
Cool timing on this....I heard this band from Iceland earlier and didn't rate it.  KIDDING.....I gave it a 8........duh

At the beginning of the song I thought you were being needlessly abusive by comparing this to M&S.  But eventually I had to agree.

Iceland, eh? That opening sequence did put me in mind of a Viking longship full of hairy-arsed warriors bashing away at drums made from the skins of their vanquished enemies :o)
is the cover art Grendel from Beowulf??

What is to not like?
This band is shooting up my list of favorites.
I see a lot of Edward Sharpe comparisons, but I think they're a lot more focused. Less hippie and more pop as well.

Sounds a lot like Mumford and Sons......Not a compliment {#Frustrated}

Really like it!  Yet another band from Iceland.  Thanks again, RP, for introducing us to something new.
...edward sharpe meets blitzen trapper?..

Love it! Not an easy album to find in the states :s
Their songs are not leaving my head....
What a strange album title!  Still, I like the vitality of this song - it has a passion that makes me want to do something valid and meaningful.  Like cleaning up a park or teaching a kid to knit.
Nice, this band has talent, and much more! A SOLID EIGHT.
