Oh, the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss
It's better my darling, I promise you this
The next time I hold you, I'm not letting go
Will you wait for me darling, I need to know

Well, you know I'm a sailor and tomorrow we sail
It's a hard way of living, but I know it well
And if I surrender my life to the sea
You can marry another, it's alright with me

Though we won't be together again 'til the spring
Just imagine the treasures I'll bring

Come lay with me, stay with me, soon I'll be gone
But I will remember you all winter long
And when I return to the one that I miss
Oh, the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss
The sweeter the kiss

When the mornings are warm and the valleys are green
I'll come back from wherever I've been

Oh, the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss
It's better my darling, I promise you this
The next time I hold you, I'm not letting go
We will give up the ocean forever, I know
Forever I know

Livestage TV is at beautiful Rival in Stockholm to record lovely Anna Ternheim. Anna´s new album "The Night Visitor" has got great reviews and with her on stage she had Nashville legend Dave Ferguson. Livestage TV recorded two songs from the gig, enjoy! Recorded songs: 1. The Long The Waiting (The Sweeter The Kiss) 2. Solitary Move. Recorded at Rival in Stockholm, Sweden on the 30th of January 2012.

Thanks, Bill, for introducing me to another gem!  I love Anna and RP continues to amaze me!!
Sweet, tender simplicity.

Anna Ternheim does Americana... may she never go back to pop.

She never did "pop". I don't know who yer man is but he ruins her voice, and she sucks at country and/or western. Still, every great artist has her iffy phase which she puts behind her as a youthful embarrassment.
I've always liked a good waltz.  I love one that features a voice as sweet as Anna Ternheim's and a message as warm and fuzzy as this.

Have this on via Roku while sorting clothes for a consignment sale for my wife and had to stop and listen.  Very Nice!
Sweet.

Sounds like my sister and my uncle's house-music!
Lullaby for Vietnam vets!

Smooth and easy. I like it. I imagine it is one I could learn and sing with one of my sisters. I would be the one with the rough voice.
