Taking over this town they should worry,
But these problems aside I think I taught you well.
That we won't run, and we won't run, and we won't run.

And in the winter night sky ships are sailing,
Looking down on these bright blue city lights.
And they won't wait, and they won't wait, and they won't wait.
We're here to stay, we're here to stay, we're here to stay.

Howling ghosts – they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.
A lionheart.

His crown lit up the way as we moved slowly
Past the wondering eyes of the ones that were left behind.
Though far away, though far away, though far away
We're still the same, we're still the same, we're still the same.

Howling ghosts – they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.
And in the sea that's painted black,
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.

And as the world comes to an end
I'll be here to hold your hand
'Cause you're my king and I'm your lionheart.
A lionheart.

Howling ghosts – they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.
And in the sea that's painted black,
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.
A lionheart.

agreed!
Wow... reading this page from old to new.  The reviews are generally favorable around 2012.  Then as you get into the late 2010s they quickly get worse over time.  The most recent reviews are overwhelmingly negative.  I wonder if Radio Paradise is bringing in a much more mainstream crowd these days.

Once it was "if Six Was Nine", but it must be true now that 6 (INT) is greater than 8 (INT)

and its probably 'cause all the hippies did cut off all their hair..... maybe that's why all emojis are bald....

The only good thing about this crowd is that they have a left handed guitarist. Other than that - insipid.
I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really try hard to stay positive about the music on RP but this band and her mousey voice annoys the shit out of me.  On the upside, it just makes me appreciate the next song even more.
Not as much as on the first few listens.  8 < 6.  And I keep thinking she's singing (and singing, and singing, and...) : lyin' heart.
Iceland's ABBA.
I can't stand their silly singalongs, all songs are the same.
My head's an animal too!
Those shorts are kind of short, aren't they?
I'd like to hear Disturbed's version of this.

Ah, modern boom-boom music!
Singsongy Shite! Crap band.

Please, Bill, throw this into a geyser.
Is that Lionheart, or Lyin' Heart? The former is good for a fellow named Richard. For the latter, a certain Donald.
This is so bad.

Is this an Icelandic nursery rhyme?

I don't know if the whole set has been annoying, but this tune is rather irksome, for reasons pointed out earlier.  It's pretty formulaic, "stomp-laden", nouveau-folk music; surprisingly it doesn't have the "whooping".

I found this as an explanation of this song from the directors of the video:

"King and Lionheart is a song Nanna wrote for her little brother that she doesn’t get to see that often. Her brother lives in Canada and she lives in Iceland, a world apart. Understandably, she feels very separated from her only sibling.
We knew that the song meant a lot to Nanna, so we needed to create a story that would hit home for her, the entire band, and their fans."

Something irritating about it, for sure.  The cutesy poppiness of the song isn't helping, either.

Yes, I can hear that. I don't really want to, but I can.
I love all kinds of silly pop songs but not this one.  Am willing to give it a go.....  But I dunno.....

this has been a very annoying set of songs....

On the cover, how is it that the guy's feet are going in opposite directions?

Either he is both a man and a monster, or his toes are sunken into the wet sand.  I prefer the former explanation.

Agree completely.

and like Mumford and Sons, all of this bands music sounds the same and is really annoying.
Lying hut! (x1000)
Pretty cheerful music, but that girl is annoying. No pronounciation, and an irritating baby voice.

Edit: Upon further inspection of the comments below, it seems many have a similar opinion. However, I'm the first to coin "Lying hut!" {#Idea}
First heard this band on the radio in Iceland, took me a while to track this album down, but it is fantastic. Sort of Mumford meets Foxes.  For me it's the sound of the summer in Europe.

A catchy, sweet-spirited song.
Hood.   Robin Hood.  Robin Hood.

How many parodies will it take to cure my boredom with this song?

...i hear a hint of joanna newsom in that warble...
This stands on it's own pretty well. Wonder what the rest of this album is like. Anyone know? Opinions?
Everyone is right......It's not that bad, but it's not an * either.
You have that freak Björk before, right? Anyway, the band scene in Reykjavik is furious and quite likeable. Locals don't look good at outsiders chatting their girls, or at least they didn't in 1994. I'm sure our RP brethren could better illustrate us with the more representative band names coming from Iceland.

And I thought it was just me. The "rt" is getting lost. Can anyone hear "heart" or should the song just get renamed, "King and Lion Ha"

Oh, that's SO perfect!  I like this song - it makes me smile, and if after I read the lyrics and discover it's about an axe-murderer who buries the bodies in the basement, I might have to revise my initial opinion. Until/unless that happens, I like this song from Mumford and Daughters. *slaps thigh in glee*  Too good...

Is that a ''Lying Heart'' or ''LionHeart'' either way a very Jolly song and sung with a Jolly lilt. Love her voice full of Happiness and charm.

coma inducing

Neither voice sounds unpleasant to me - but I probably couldn't listen to them for prolonged periods.  The old "nails-on-a-chalkboard" cliche - I suppose every song on the RP playlist has to have that phrase somewhere in its comments thread.
I guess it all comes down to personal taste anyhow.
