Plays (last 30 days): 3
Spinning out, gracefully
Going nowhere, quickly
I'm older, day by day
But still going back to my childhood way

Circuital
Round and round patiently
Getting lost by the guide
And I'm all worked up over nothing

Circuits
All in and out
Connect my body
Deep into the ground

Circuits
Connect the earth to the moon
And link our heavenly bodies
And not a moment too soon

Well you can fling open the windows
Or you can board them up
Satan's jeweled crown
Or Christ's humble cup

You think you'll find yourself out there

Out in the lion's den
In some bloody battle
Over belief systems

Or disappear into the vacuum
Total neutrality
Where you can't lose nothing
But nothing can be gained

Well anyway you cut it
We're just spinning around
Out on the circuits
Over the hallowed grounds
Out on the circuits
Over the hallowed grounds
Ending up in the same place
That we started out
Right back in the same place
Right back in the same place
That we starting out

Let her know

oh dear God....please don't put TepidPlay in the same category as My Morning Jacket for anything....

One of a few songs of theirs that I really like.

I don't know the clinical term, but generally it intersects with Pixies fans.

This is surely an excellent My Morning Jacket tune. WFT does all that mean? MMJ is awesome and multi-meaningful... you speak of them as robots to please you in precise accordance/agreement with what's apparently "BEST" as if such a thing exists in music. My nephew's holiday show was robust and adorable, you would be the kind of person making shitty comments thinking it doesn't matter because they're just kids... but it matters MORE because they're kids. I don't know you, but I bet some people here do. I'm sure they agree with me that you would be a fucking DRAG at any live musical event.

Ditto.

I sure like Morning Jacket. All mellow sounding and subdued  but  then these semi-raunchy guitar riffs and killer melodies.

Instant attraction.

This band really seems to be taking off.  Seem to be at peak powers on this one.  Pretty darned GOOD, and dig the intriguing sonic structure.  Circuital, indeed!

Dude, ( Yes, DUDE!) stop trying to sound like you know what you're talking about. It's the pitch that is FF-like, not the reverb.

When your head explodes, that will have been too much reverb. Until then, it is just right!
Honestly, this outfit just keeps getting better and better!

Starts out like a countrified version of Creep
Wait — I thought this was going to be Jacob's Ladder by Rush......what a rip-off.....
As mentioned to Rolling Stone magazine by James, the album cover depicting the Magic eye tube was inspired by his own experience of getting Lasik eye surgery, saying: "The whole experience of it is so fucked up, it's somebody slicing your eyeball open and shooting you with a laser." It also inspired James to write the song "Victory Dance."
So, who's Sooky?

Okay, I've heard this song enough times. NEXT!

With such a huge variety of songs to listen to, why do we keep hearing the same dreck over and over again?

Wait...  you are implying that anyone that says "No No No" in german (or according to babblefish.com "twelve twelve twelve", I'm not sure which is right but I always thought that it meant no) is automatically Hitler?

Who are you, Bill O'Rieley?

From Wikipedia...

"Godwin's law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies) is a humorous observation made by Mike Godwin in 1990 that has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1 (100%)." In other words, Godwin put forth the hyperbolic observation that, given enough time, in any online discussion-regardless of topic or scope-someone inevitably criticizes some point made in the discussion by comparing it to beliefs held by Hitler and the Nazis.

Godwin's law is often cited in online discussions as a deterrent against the use of arguments in the widespread Reductio ad Hitlerum form. The rule does not make any statement about whether any particular reference or comparison to Adolf Hitler or the Nazis might be appropriate, but only asserts that the likelihood of such a reference or comparison arising increases as the discussion progresses. It is precisely because such a comparison or reference may sometimes be appropriate, Godwin has argued that overuse of Nazi and Hitler comparisons should be avoided, because it robs the valid comparisons of their impact.

Although in one of its early forms Godwin's law referred specifically to Usenet newsgroup discussions, the law is now often applied to any threaded online discussion, such as forums, chat rooms and blog comment threads, and has been invoked for the inappropriate use of Nazi analogies in articles or speeches."

Ok...  I love MMJ.  Z and Evil Urges are both freaking fantastic.  So far I just haven't been sucked into anything from this album yet.  It's good, but nothing that really reached out and grabbed me.

I don't know if I should be waiting and letting the songs digest for a while before making a decision (after all, an easy song generally gets old quick), or just be ok with being slightly disappointed.
