I hope all of my days will be lit by your face
I hope all the years will hold tight our promises
I don't want to be old and sleep alone
An empty house is not a home
I don't want to be old and feel afraid

I don't want to be old and sleep alone
An empty house is not a home
I don't want to be old and feel afraid

And if I need anything at all
I need a place that's hidden in the deep
Where lonely angels sing you to your sleep
Though all the world is broken
I need a place where I can make my bed
A lover's lap where I can lay my head
Because now the room is spinning
The day's beginning

Pfff, Queen/Muse mix

Although I really like Keane...I must say that listening to an entire album wears thin quickly. There's not enough variation in arrangement or vocal harmony. It's just similar instrumentation and the vocalist singing similarly throughout. It's great in smaller doses though.
I saw Keane on the Under The Iron Sea Tour in 2006 and they were amazing live -- at the time they hadn't yet added a traditional bass player, and they were a trio -- two keyboard players and a drummer.  There are many likeable songs on this album (my favorite of theirs) but I don't feel that their subsequent albums are anywhere at the same level.  I saw them again earlier this year as they toured to support their latest album, Strangeland.  Once again they were an excellent live band, and they played a good selection of songs from all their albums, though the playlist was heavier from Strangeland. {#Angel}

I do too
Agree with this.  "Hopes and Fears" was a storming album.  However, this track is a good sampler from this album.  Only real track for me has got to be "A Bad Dream" - at high volume in the car the synth work makes my skin creep. Enjoyed them live in 2012 at a small venue in Bristol, but I don't think their work is improving as the band matures.

I am an absolute fan of Keane's debut LP "Hopes And Fears", this one followed after it but in my humble opinion didn't live up to high expectations... This song is good, but overall this album isn't anywhere near as good as "Hopes And Fears". Though the first one being very piano-pop mainstream material, it was very refreshing....
