I moved across the ocean
Find wild love, in the forest and the field.
I bet blue skies will be wide open
In the moment that's where I need to be.
There is no sidewalk.
There is no smooth talk.
Just a long walk to where I'm gonna be.
It's such a fine line situation.
I've got patience.
Patience.
Patience.
Patience.

I been flowing for the ocean.
I'm tripping all over myself.
Falling, falling down now.
I adore you, but you're leaving me a mess.
I confess, I caught you caring.
Got to sharing,
Sharing like the rest.
It's such a fine line situation
I got patience.
Patience.
Patience.

I blow across the prairie.
Don't be weary, for the wind can be your friend.
I'll be lost and found all over
Fields of clover
All blooming once again

Saw a blue man once again.
It's the rain on a tin roof.
It's so humid, can't tell the water from the wind.
Such a fine line situation.
I got patience.
Patience.
Patience.

I read that scientists are working on bringing back the Mammoth; now that would be an elephant revival!

Awesome band from Nederland (I'm Dutch and so proud  )

Someone please help me out here, why is 'elephant' popular to use in band names these days?

To date, I've learned of these from RP:

Cage The Elephant
Elephant Revival
Elephant Stone

Some of the music is good, but those names are not. I mean, no one in a few years is gonna say, "hey man, remember that Elephant Stone concert?"

Elephants will remember; they always do.

I'm still unconvinced that it's "weary" instead of "wary", but I will concede that the website's author is probably closer to the source material than anyone else.

Thanks for posting the correction. Weary makes sense to me since so much of it is about persistence.

I'm not familiar with the other bands, but...

"Elephant Revival took its name from Rose’s experience busking outside the elephant cage at The Lincoln Park Zoo, in Chicago. He was moved to do so after two elephants that had lived there together for 16 years were separated by zookeepers. Within days of the separation, both elephants had died, leaving the elephant cage empty. A seed was planted in the musician to revive the spirit of the lost elephants, the spirit that flows between all things on this Earth and that animates all that the band does."

I think the band's music pretty much captures that spirit.

Thanks for this, RabbitEars. That was a tragedy, and understandably impactful.
love the fiddle weaving through this one
He seems to be a busy doctor.

C'mon mon! - Enough reggae for today! This feels like the 5th in a row. PSD!

Ha!  Created an account with the plan to submit Elephant Revival after having just discovered both Radio Paradise and Elephant Revival this month.    I'm pleasantly surprised to see them already here.  More Elephant Revival please! {#Laughing}

GREAT!! IS this melody or is it not?

Surprisingly charming....a nice complement to Jimmy and Sam in the artist/songwriter circle.   Can't comment on his musicality though since I was too busy laughing.  The audience loved him, particularly the two girlfriends I was with.

Cool!   They're all good...{#Group-hug}
This has it all. Thank you, Bill, for the gift of this song.
It is a shame that both "Sing To The Mountain" and "Ring Around The Moon" isn't played here on RP.

Had an incredible treat here in T.O. Friday night...saw these guys, Jimmy LaFave, Sam Baker, Matt the Electrician and Red Molly all playing in a tiny 200-person venue for an amazing 4-hr show—-with a front row table!  What a talented 5-some Elephant Revival is.  All 5 do amazingly varied vocals and instrumentation,  I think most if not all lead in a least a song or two, and they gave a tremendous show.  Certainly looking for great stuff to come out of them in the future... Btw, why don't we hear any Sam Baker or Jimmy LaFave on RP??

Minor, sweet synchronicity: I muted RP for a while to talk on the phone and think. I got into sorting through some photos to change the screen saver on my Mac laptop. I finally chose one Apple provided with the machine, an elephant on the African savannah. Then I return to RP. What's playing? A cool tune by Elephant Revival.
Nice and folky!
Could this be one of the best road-trip sings ever?

Sorry bloke, what was your point again?  I didn't quite catch it.
On a side note; did anyone notice how this CD cover/case is not industry standard shaped?  no big deal, if not.
I look forward to this song.
a fiddle, banjo, upright bass, mix in some harmonies...how can you go wrong w/ that recipe?

This is a great song. I was introduced to Elephant Revival by RP and I too am surprised that "Ring Around the Moon" is not also played here. I cannot stop listening to that track...
Great song, great band and it's a shame that both "Ring Around The Moon" and "Sing To The Mountain" were rejected.
I'm a sucker for any rock song with a banjo in it.  Give it an 8.
An interesting combination of new and rustic...I think I like this.
Lovely song....great voices!

So, a 'pig' song, then this 'elephant' song. I'm thinking you should something from The Monkees or Alvin and the Chipmunks next? Just saying.

This comment is funny because in this list, the last song was "Suzanne is Perfect." I can see some lame country song where some guy is singing about his perfect pig Suzanne.

Good fiddle man!{#Boohoo}

These guys and gals are among the hottest acts in Colorado today ... and this record has done very well among public/community radio in state.

Except for temporary use flip flops or Crocs, shoes are for special occasions.

These guys were so fantastic to see live. Nice surprise to hear them tonight. Thanks!!
Added to my "Bands to See" list (with the usual caveat of boycotting ticketmaster-only bands/venues).
Did Bill just say "truely ikky" ? Surely not {#Beat}

(He was talking about commercials)

This song makes my feet tap. Thats good. 7.

Very nice winters afternoon music. I'm liking this group more and more.
