I hear mumbling
First time I hear this and the intro reminds me of "Higher Love" by Steve Winwood (which is a good song i.m.o.).
Her voice reminds me more of Adele — or a gentler Amy Winehouse
"The Cartographer's Wife"?? Too much like "The House Carpenter's Daughter" to be a coincidence. Total copy of Natalie Merchant's sound and style.
She loses a point for stupid enunciation. Also for sounding too  much like Natalie M.

I like your words! This song? Not so much.

Boy, tough crowd here! I'm liking it anyway. Yes, I hear the Natalie Merchant-ness, but hey, she's good too. We've now got a plausible spare!

I've got a soft spot for Slummerville, too, I admit (went to college around the corner).

Moar?

Ho-Hum at best...

Not very open minded there....

Do agree it is pretty Ho-Hum though.

Def Natalie-ish. A good thing.

She's from MA? So why the ridiculous fake accent? "Look wha chya done to mae." Seems unnecessary.
Liking the laidback vibe on this, not familiar with any of her stuff, might investigate..

Not only that, the drum mix is as bad as I've heard. Yuk.{#Doh}
She needs to learn how to enunciate. She sounds like she's mumbling.
