C'mon - this is terrible!

"Eventually, I'll be in California

 physically....."

That alone makes me give this song a 10.

this sucks. sorry.
Ustadid?  Redneck Techno?
You've all got it wrong. OSI can only refer to the Office of Scientific Intelligence, the branch of the CIA that agent Jaime Sommers and Dr. Rudy Wells worked for in The Bionic Woman. {#Cool}
{#Sleep}
maybe I can love you complete!!!
Nice.

Wow, there's some significant bass happening in this tune.  Glad I'm enjoying RP utilizing my Bose 901's today and not my laptop speakers, or even worse my blackberry!
Cranked!

Props to Bill and Rebecca for making decisions which allow stellar delivery of high-quality tunes!

Me too.  If I like Richard Barbieri's solo, more ambient-sounding material, will I like Japan?

This is interesting...reminds me of various other things yet it is it's own. Curious what will follow?
This album is not available as an mp3 download for some reason. Bummer. Good song.

So, what does OSI stand for, anyone know? Obsessive Sex Interest?

per wiki:

OSI is an American progressive experimental supergroup formed by Fates Warning guitarist Jim Matheos in 2003. The name refers to the short-lived US government agency Office of Strategic Influence which was established shortly after 9/11 to manufacture and promote pro-US propaganda in domestic and foreign media.

The O.S.I. model (O.S.I. - Open System Interconnection) is a way of sub-dividing a System into smaller parts (called layers) from the point of view of communications.   Source:  wiki page just w OSI

Actually I have no idea.  Sit up and listen.  8

Oh, man - I love the start of this song! And it just keeps getting better...

Basically, a Chroma Key song.  The more aggressive stuff on the record is quality, but if you like this, check out the CK CDs "You Go Now" and "Dead Air for Radios"
Eventually,  I left California.
The song is gr(8)
tremememelololorific!

I agree.  It just sounds like he couldn't be bothered to come up with a real rhyme.

When it started I thought it was a mellow version of Dandy Warhols' Bohemian Like You... I like it, but a little sleepy for right after lunch so I'll reserve rating for the next listen.
Love this band.

Hey Relayer,  Thanks for the effort.  And thanks to the music deities that Bill seems capable of changing his mind. And thanks for the suggestion, 'cause PT fan I am.

In passing, I hear some sonic space similarity to Led Zeppelin's No quarter but otherwise the songs are so different, I don't get the comparison.

This song is growing.

Hey Bill how about Zeps No Quarter after this. The epiano with tremelo is totally rockin!

Good call.
Utterly different from every other track on the album. I would never have found this were it not for RP, as this band's usual music is not stuff I'd listen to. Thanks B&R!

Cool...yet sinister. This song gives me the willies, always a good sign. 7 from the Nottingham jury.

Boring....yet stale.
This would be a great tune for a Pepto-Bismol commercial.

...yes, OSI is primarly a collaboration between jim matheos and kevin moore, the latter of whom is chroma key...

...incidentally, this is probably the weakest track on the album, which is outstanding on the whole, the last two tracks of which especially flow with awesome tension...

Reminds me of Chroma Key. Is there any link between the two?

Yeah. Understated but meaningful. Beautiful electro music.
good stuff

I love it, really dark, haunting, excellent lyrics.

Are you sure blotto?  Seems like folks are hearing No Quarter all over the place these days.

Some of this reminds me a little of Richard Barbieri's solo material or Massive Attack.

First I've hear of this group. I'm a big fan of PT, so hopefully we hear more of this if there is a similarity.
I've been going through the sampler on Amazon and you really do hear the keyboards from No Quarter in the 20 or so seconds of this song.
Hmmm...maybe time to try uploading Phil Manzanera/801 tracks.  This could easily have come from Phil and Brian...
I see.  The list of guest musicians reads a little bit like a who is who of p-rock.

Steven Wilson was on the group's debut CD.  Gavin Harrison (PT) guests on this one.

You must have "planted the seed", because I uploaded it recently and they added it to the library right away (with no LRC review - never seen that happen before!)

O.S.I. is amazing - I think much of it is a bit heavy for RP, but as you said, anyone who is a PT fan (or Dream Theater or Fates Warning, former members of which make up O.S.I.) should definitely check them out.

Thanks anyway for the upload...great song, I bought it straight after my first listen {#Notworthy}

Nice thing... is that it really sounds nothing like No Quarter.

There is the same effect on the keyboards, but that's about it.  Nothing else remotely resembles No Quarter.
Still... as the rest of you heard, the first thing I heard was No Quarter as well.
I think... more than a commentary on anything else... it says something about the uniqueness of John Paul Jones keyboard part.
Close the door, put out the light...  no they won't be home tonight...

The wind blows hard and don't you know, the winds of Thor are blowing cold...

Yeah, I can hear it. Nice mellow song.

I think it's pretty cool.  I don't get the low (low) ratings.

Excellent!  Glad to hear O.S.I. on R.P.

That's what OSI sounds like, sort of a melodic energetic drone.
It's good to hear them again!

New OSI? Suh weet!
