Seems like ev'rywhere I go
Seems like ev'rything I do
Seems like ev'rything I dream about
Seems like ev'rywhere I look

Well I got girls, girls on my mind
I think about them mostly all the time
Oh - so tell me what you'd do?
Oh - if you were in my shoes?

No, thank you, please, I'm only looking
I don't believe we've met before
I guess I've died and went to heaven
Or else I'm lookin' out my nose

And I got girls, girls on my mind
I think about them sometimes all the time
Oh - well what about tonight?
Okay - what about today?

People say that I am crazy
People say that I am strange
But I don't care about what people say
They can't see inside my brain

I've got girls girls girls girls girls girls in my mind
Ev'ry little girl - stays in my mind
Well I don't wanna know - they're all around my mind
Flying all around - they're all around my mind
Oh - and when I get to sleep
Oh - I pray my soul to keep

I'm the star of my own movie
Honey, I'm the leading man
You might ask yourself - who is that guy?
With the girls upon his mind?

I got girls girls girls girls girls girls in my mind
Ev'ry little girl - stays in my mind
I remember 'em all - they're all in my mind
Long, short 'n' tall - stayin' in my mind

Flyin' all around
All around my mind
Flyin' up and down
Goin' through my mind
Ev'ry little girl
All through my mind
Ev'ry little girl
Stay in my mind

I am crazy too...just rated this ditty an 8...and I don't care what people say!

Odd....the next song is (another 8 for me) by Acoustic Junction from their album "Strange Days" - wouldn't be surprised if something from the Doors comes next....LONG LIVE RP!!

That's like saying that Neil Young is nothing without Crazy Horse. Dubious.

No it's nothing of the sort.

He gave the best concert I ever saw - almost 20 years ago in Lisbon, Portugal in a very old round theater.  He was excellent all night and closed with two Portugese folk songs as encores.  I can still hear the wooden chairs being pounded to the beat by 10,000 screaming Portugese fans.  Epic..

{#Notworthy}

The only reason I didn't rate this a 1 is that it isn't Dengue Fever.

Bill, please don't give the Byrne haters any further ammunition.
The main reason to mute...bleech!
Heard Byrne in concert, small venue (Gainesville), when he was touring in support of Rei Momo...simply blew the place away...of course, he had the help of some *amazing* Brazilian instrumentalists and vocalists.

This makes water boarding seem mild.

come on, there's a lot of garbage in the musicworld deserving a '4' ,
This song is doesn't belongs there, obviously!
Well, I like it!
Byrne minus the remaining Talking Heads = annoying novelty act.
Terrible.  Atrocious.  And I like this guy.

Don't know if I have seen a sub-5.  Please make it go away...

Hmmm, let's roll over the dial and see what SOMA's playing for a few minutes . . .
I'm on the love side.  This guy is so interesting that I just like hearing his voice, even when the songs are, admittedly, a little grating.  And a little hooting verging on a yodel?  Well, it's never dull!

I'm one of the only weirdos in the world that LOVES this CD, from beginning to end.  Byrne is flat out having fun on this album.  He's got a great band, gets to sing his brains out about random shit (sex changes, politics, religion, hanging out in a mall) - never getting too heavy or poetic - and every song has a killer hook or bridge.  After this album, Byrne started taking himself way too seriously, but this album is a party for me.

Same here, this is my favourite Byrne album. It's brilliant. Gotta say that this is the one song on the CD that I usually skip, though.
Can you please never play this song again? Just for me?

Didn't think so.

Wow - a 4.6 average rating!  Thanks for not letting the torches and pitchforks keep you from playing this song.

David Byrne and Talking Heads are pretty divisive amongst the RP audience, with 'hate' and 'love' camps. That could apply to many artists played on here, but Bill & Becky plainly have a big thing going for Byrne so quite a lot of his music gets airplay, which fuels the division. Sadly, I'm in the 'hate' camp - Byrne's voice just gets right on my tits, and I can't rationally explain why. As soon as I hear it I can't reach for the off/mute button fast enough. The guy's a brilliant songwriter right enough and I can see why he's got a loyal following, but as with Dylan and Young, some folk just really react viscerally to his voice.

And now for some more DB/TH torture. Please let me know when its over

ROFL.   Good one.

Cheesy big time.  I would think that Mr. Artsy Fartsy would at least want to make a visual impact on the cd cover, but I guess he just didn't give a crap this time.

I get that Dog is God spelled backward.  You take it from there.

When the other Talking Heads hear this song, they probably give a sigh of relief that the band is broken up so they didn't have to play on it.

This is one annoying song!
I save this emoticon for special songs.  {#Puke}
The girl on my mind is the girl you want by Devo
I think the album title sums it up ... {#Stop}

I like David Byrne just fine, but this is quite bad.  I would almost prefer "Girls" by the Beastie Boys to this.

I like a lot of his stuff, but not this.  Not up to his usual standards.
Sheesh! How many times per day do we have to hear this guy?

Not the best song from Byrne's best CD...Still an 8.

He´s the man!
