I love most of Tori's early stuff, but the last couple of albums have been hit-or-miss to me. This song's not bad, but doesn't compare well with many of her other songs, in my opinion.
yuck
Damn. She is worse then I had remembered.
Down from 2 to 1.
The flavor is cheese.

Yeah, me too. And Morissey. But I love Tori!

Yes, yes I think Tori sucks; that is a given!{#Lol} However, it is almost worth it to endure her music to see all of the passion she evokes in this section. Its great, give her hell, make her pay for her exposure at RP!!{#Roflol}

OMG!!!!!! Scenario: WTF is this crap. walk over to look at the Roku. As I expected....another Tori Amos "song"....... Stuff your go listen to main stream channels response. Tori Amos is a half baked artist. Oi Va Voi excellent, Orb, Angel Fish, Kate Bush, excellent but Tori Amos is a hack. I don't know what her politics are but her music is to weak to earn her air time.

{#Tongue}

That's because you like mainstream. Please, forget about radio paradise and go for the American Top 40. This is not a place for you.

Tori Amos used to be a genius. One of the best singers-songwriters ever. Regretfully she stopped two albums before. Why, Tori, why did you become a mainstream singer? You who has been an awsome ARTIST?
Not often a Tori fan but like this. It is a little K. Bush-ish.

Seems a little late in her game to be mimicking Kate Bush?

There is something in my DNA that causes nausea when Tori Amos is played. I can't prove it, but I suspect that the same gene mutation is directly linked to Morrissey.

To clarify, that is my absolute judgment.

Flavor... but lacking taste.
 I choose LOVE Tori! I choose LOVE!!!

Well said.  Absolute judgement often belies an uncurious mind, which is especially sad to see at a place as diverse as RP.

I will stop donating money if Bill promises not to play anymore Tori Amos. Are we happy now? {#Meditate}

That works for me, as long as we can also select an "Oh God YES YES YES" option

As one of the aforementioned Toriphobes, can I request a simple "No" instead of a 0. It just seems so much more appropriate. Or how about a 'just slightly better than the Decemberist' rating?  I'm sure that would bork up the stats.

I certainly did!  I do believe we have similar tastes.

If we implemented the oft-requested "0" rating, and the Toriphobe chose that rather than 1, then the average would be 5.  Otherwise, 5.5 is indeed correct.

Wow I can't believe my job actually requires math. Thanks for the reality check.

Of course, if you implemented the "0" rating you could then implement the, once-in-a-while requested, "11" rating ( 'this one goes to 11' ) so the Torifans could balance out the Toriphobes like vit. In the interest of full disclosure I gave this an initial "7".
She's a genius, a steaming loco - motive, she'll crush you... hop aboard or get the hell out of her way.

 BillG wrote:

It would get really messy if you allowed negative ratings.   And I've always wanted to rate a few songs using imaginary numbers:

John Lennon's "Imagine" would certainly get a √-1

 vit wrote:
hey waitasecond. If one person rates a song a 10, and another rates it a 1, shouldn't the average be 5 and not 5.5?

Hey, that wouldn't be accurate.{#Cheers}  Well there are more than 2 votes now anyhow.

(10+1)/2 = 11/2 = 5.5 :D

This was good, but Tori's voice sounded a little different then usual.  Still good though.
