this is almost cool. i wish she'd actually sing more instead of talking. and the horns are too subdued.

Excellent cover.

Too bad the music inside is so...tedious.
Excellent cover... really eerie treatment.
I got the Morphine connection immediately.  Glad to hear that sound and style preserved.  I like the original of this song, this one is crisp enough and does not stray from the original vocals too far.  Would I run out and buy it?  Probably not, but if they keep using that Morphine formula, they might go somewhere.  Just hard to replace the vocals of the original Morphine singer - a classic combination of music and singer.

Not too many tracks earn such a polarized rating - interesting. Something opposite a bell curve is usually reserved for Dead Can Dance or the Cocteau Twins...

sultry...love her voice, and all that swarmy sax

This song is wrong.

Dayum, you're right. {#Yes}
Meh. "Decent" alright, but Morphine did this style of music so much better.

RIP Mark Sandman, you are still the best.

High Comments to Total Ratings ratio. Interesting ratings distribution. Interesting tune.

I liked it and am a big fan of the original too.  This version sets a different mood.
I like this. Very chill.
I can't remember what the original sounds like so no baggage equals positive experience.
Sultry, smooth, noir, disturbing - the sort of track that David Lynch would use in his films. The snare drum and baritone sax are very reminiscent of backing tracks to Twin Peaks. 7 from the Nottingham jury.
puck me.  this was excruciating.  love the song.  hurt to endure this version.

My thoughts exactly!! {#Lol}
Does nothing but ruin a great track.  1
dreamy cover
{#Eek} oh, hayull no.

Sounds like she has clean vocals in the left channel, distorted in the right.
No, it's a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Hypnotised."  I personally think she's got a heavenly voice =>  so sleepy-ish and relaxing.

I feel I must apologize - the first time I heard this I rated it a "2." But after listening to it again, I have to revise my rating. . . To a "1."

This song shouldn't be allowed.

Nice description!
What a horrible voice. I wonder if she sounds this bad all the time.

Sounds like it could have been on the first Cowboy Junkies mini album.
lobotomized.........{#Headache}
 Not so much hypnotized as bored into a light coma.

Has kind of a Twin Peaks vibe going on with it...

So far, I'd have to agree.

Bill, you've given us a bunch of great cover songs, but this one bites. Way too slow, it sounds like someone's dragging their fingers on the edge of the turntable to slow it down.

Strange name for a Band, "Also Known as Cash on Delivery"?

Joe Walsh? Did it really need a remake?
