Thats probably because the singer is Alex Lily from the Bird and the Bee....

Reminds me of Metric....on drugs. I like it.
Gads, what annoying drivel...

Good headphone music... something about the background twitters and beeps reminds me of Grandaddy a (tiny) bit.  Like the melody.  The melody makes me think of a Stereolab that I can understand (sort of a Spock with a beard alternate Universe).  Wait... actually the boops and beeps fit Stereolab too...

Yes, very similar to Stereolab...

I saw Obi Best in Seattle last week. This is really interesting, entertaining music beautifully performed. Alex Lilly writes lyrics like a true poet. All of the band members have other gigs (the keyboardist plays with Beck) but you can feel their excitement about playing this music. The CD has 10 eclectic songs that are on heavy rotation now in my collection.
Pulling FM stations all the way to the Coachella Valley (desperately trying to get some decent music) I'd listen to 91X from San Diego.
The locals there referred to the town of Ocean Beach as "O.B.". The DJ's said it was the only town designed by women gynecologist. {#Lol}

I wonder if this band is also designed by said group. {#Mrgreen}

This is annoying sorry to say
not me

Never heard of these, guys; nor has Wikipedia, it seems.  I like.
