Nice sentiment but you left out the periods in the acronym, so I'll put them in - S.U.C.K.S -  Sensational Underrated Cool Kicka** Song.

So many comments on one song? Wow alezz, can you be any more excited about a song in your own language on a non-ukranian radio? I def love Bill's experementations tho, keep it up!

You've got it right, gregler. True source of my excitement is possibility to present this excellent (IMHO) piece of work to RP listeners. And each prove of the fact that such music touches people, which don't even understand the lyrics, reminds me that world of Music can bring different cultures little bit closer. Don't know why, but I feel kind a happy while thinking about this. {#Think}

Anyway, if current song brought you some of pleasant memories - it worth being played.

I only got curious about this when I noticed the Now Playing list as it was ending... hope to hear it again with my volume up and ears open.
Very interesting.  I love hearing stuff on RP that I'd NEVER hear anywhere else!!
Is somone playing a large sheet of aluminum foil in this?

Great story.

And this is a great opportunity for you to start differentiating Ukraine and Russia because... this song has nothing to do with Moscow or  Russia, this is just traditional Ukrainian singing performed by common pre-Carpathian women which lives in common pre-Carpathian village ;)

Reminds me of a little club around the corner from Dom Knegie Moscova (big Moscow Book Store) in 1977.  Smoke filled room, rivers of Vodka, horrible body odors, unwashed armpits and leaking month old smegma, and of course the KGB and GRU everywhere behind us American Imperialist Spies.  Suddenly, up to his feet like a rocket, a Samdiznatki spouting poetry.  Chaos, and all we wanted to do was go back to the Good Old USofA.

At least this is authentic.  I'll give it a six just for that, plus one for the melody.  The singing is probably an acquired taste which I'll work on.  Certainly no worse than some of the middle Eastern stuff played here lately, and absolutely better than the alt country pop trash we're usually buried in.
Reminds me of Eartha Kit

Are these people gargling?
Hi. The Artist Website is wrong, it's connect to polish singer Tatiana.
This sounds like the Ukrainian version of Marianne Faithful

Wow.

It's been a long time since I've given something a 1, but the time has come.

Well put. {#Wave}  He should stay in his closet.

thanks a_genuine_find much better now :)

. pardon my oafishness and sing and fly and be happy .....

It caught my ear again, but I think the vocals sound too much like Yoko Ono for something I would really go for!

The song 'Surovi Trisky' is actually from an album titled 'Green' by an artist named 'Aby MC' and Tatiana Shamshetdinova plays the keyboard. You can find out more at www.umka.com.ua.

PS: The only sad thing - I missed first broadcast of the song.. :( will be waiting very much for second one.

50/50 on this one...nice music but terrible vocals

Kinda with you on that one - The voice reminds me of Marianne Faithful, which is not necessarily a bad thing on my book. Gotta listen to it a couple more times to decide just how much I like it.

Excellent! I can't find any reference to that particular album on amazon. It's either incorrect or they don't carry it.

Interesting... not sure if I've heard Ukrainian lyrics before (certainly Russian, but they're obviously not identical). Need a couple more listens before I make a final decision on this one, though.
Meh
I like it a lot ...8
