I remember when
I remember, when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that face
Even your emotions had an echo
In so much space

And when you're out there
Without care
I was out of touch
It wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just knew too much

Does that make me crazy
Does that make me crazy
Does that make me crazy
Probably

An I hope that you are having the time of your life
Oh but think twice
That's my only advice

Come on now
Who do you
Who do you think you are
Woah Woah
Bless your soul
Do you really think that you're in control

Well I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
I think you're crazy
Just like me, yeah

My heroes had the heart
To lose their lives out on a limb
An all I remember
Is thinking I wanna be like them

Ever since I was little it looked like fun
It was no coincidence that I've come
I can die when I'm done

Maybe I'm crazy
Maybe you're crazy
Maybe we're crazy
Probably

A la la la la la la
A la la, a la la, a la la, a la la
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Wo-ah, woah, woah, woah, woah
Lay lay lay lay
A la la, a la la, a la la, a la la

that kinda sucked.

Yeah, that was pretty weak and thin - like skim milk.  Isn't this guy's time up yet?
Ray works for me on this song  {#Guitarist}
my choice would be to leave the commonplace Narls Barkley version to other stations and play the odd cover of the great tune here.  there are better versions than Ray.   I liked his stuff till I saw him live, and went off him very quickly.
I never knew Gnarls Barkley was CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse! Learning every day, with Radio Paradise.

Great cover.
Wow. Haven't heard this before. It amazes me how this song has attained such iconic status—it takes some guts to challenge CeeLo's vocals. BTW, it's common currency, but check out CeeLo's version of this with Prince live on YouTube. (Sorry, I'm too lazy tonight to paste the URL. Google it.)
A DJ named TEEMID brought in a 17 yr. old singer named Joie Tan to do a remix of this song. Eternal burner and multimedia artist Mark Day put this video together. Seems to work rather nicely.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i8Dhv5N2gs

Hey,  thediceareloaded - I looked on I tunes and it didn't come up… Would it be possible if you could copy paste the link?
Please!  :)
I wish I could buy it
through here though.

Better than the original.

Couldn't disagree more.   Original is a pop classic.

I don't dislike Ray but......no....
Better than the original.
I like Shaun Colvin's cover better but this one is good too.  That it has been covered as much as it has is a testament to what a great song it is.  A Cee Lo & Danger Mouse collaboration that really struck gold.  I wish something like this could come outta my head...

I think no cover will ever touch Gnarls Barkley's original. The cover by the Violent Femmes was about as good as Tori Amos' cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit {#Puke}
But I gotta say, Ray Lamontagne's version of Crazy ain't half bad. he brings a quality to it that is uniquely Ray's touch.

I have to agree. This one is about the lyrics, and they are good.

I like Ray.  But he's boring.  I never choose to listen to his music anymore on my own.  Plus the original of this is kicking!  Can't do better.
Two from RL in 63 minutes.  Wish he was my favorite.
I have been done liking Ray for about a year now. This helps a lot.

Bleh, this cover leaves me cold.
It's a 3 from Uppsala.
Yeah.. upload added and played! Love this version.. too bad I missed it. Kicks the shit out of the femmes version!
I thought it was an interesting cover.... but WOW... 18  21 comments from one play.  Bill... this one sure get's people's attention!

Thanks Bill, you ALWAYS keep this place interesting!

Who thinks RP is overdosing on Ray Lamontagne? I for one am getting tired of that breathy voice.

Ha! Bill mentioned that yesterday when he played another one of Ray's tunes.

This is a really good cover. I never much liked the original.

(BOGGLE)  LADY??
I remember now. Bill played the Violent Femmes version of Crazy a week or so ago. That version was TERRIBLE. I gave it a one. This one is quite good, as I already posted.

You're probably safe... I doubt Ceelo would see the light of day here but, I certainly disagree.  I dig his voice quite a bit.

Edit:  My mistake, already on the playlist here.  Shoulda known better I s'pose ;)  Its Goodie Mob that wouldn't fly (quickly looks it up to make sure). Yep, not yet anyway lol.

But then again, Ray could sing the phone book and I would love it.

LOL! I agree!  I also like this cover, A LOT!

Maybe the licensing for it is really cheap or something?
Really!!!! How many more artists are gonna cover this song?? The original can never be touched, it just cant. This versions not bad however.
AMAZING. {#Good-vibes} 10

I think everyone is covering this ironically.  Just for the camp.

another cover of this - terrific {#Stupid}

I think Bill has found an obsession. However, this one more listenable than others.

Do artists get together and start drinking one night and decide, hey you know what would be funny? We should all do a cover of the same song! Umbrella all over again. That said this version gets a definate pass :)
This is a LOT better of a cover than that other one that RP has been playing.

Hah, more covers! MORE!

You should play all versions of the song back-to-back in one set, just to see how many complaints you get ;o).
is it just me or can just about anybody sing this song better than the original?
Nicely done Ray...crazy is good

I wonder where this one comes from.

It will take a few listens to really evaluate it.
another cover of this - terrific  {#Stupid}
A worthy offering, at first listen.
