Oh, lover, hold on
'Till I come
Back again
For these arms
Are growing tired
And my tales
Are wearing thin

If you're patient
I will surprise
When you wake up
I'll have come
All the ache will
Settle down
And we'll go do
All the things we should have done

'Cause I remember what we said
As we lay down to bed
"I'll be here, if you would only come back home"

Oh, lover, I'm lost
Because the road I've chosen
Beckons me away
Oh, lover, don't you go
Now I'm fighting words
I never thought I'd say

But I remember what we said
As we lay down to bed
"I'll forgive you all, if you'll just come back home"

Oh, lover, I know
You'll be out there
And be thinking just of me
And I will find you
Down the road
We'll return back home
To where we're meant to be

'Cause I remember what we said
As we lay down to bed
"We'll be back as soon as we make history"

I really like this. Very pretty song.

Or better yet, provide nothing at all.

Yeah, Firefox plus Adblock extension, I can block the image. I'm not even going to try to clickthru to the audio file it links to.

What gets me about the negative, disparaging, comments is that one has to expend energy on something that one doesn't like. Use the time to do something positive, let your bad wash over.

This song I like, it was a pleasant surprise to hear Ray Lamontagne, looking forward to his gig on Feb 5th.

This pales in comparison to the similar style employed by Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan.

Agreed. An emphatic Ho Hum from me.    Unless I'm trying to fall asleep, I suppose. If they're marketing this one as a lullaby, they might have something.

wish she wouldn't use that whispering, broken voice. think she can do better.

Beautiful song. Beautiful lady. Lucky Ray (LaMontagne)! {#Clap}
It's a very pretty song... and I kind of appreciate it at that level, but I just don't really enjoy pretty.  And I don't really like this.  A 3 from me.
Great song!  I love it!

Quite. I'll second that. Not only is it a crass and now clichéd image, it takes up a lot of page space, and is just plain trolling. If manbirdexperiment has something to say, say it in text.

They're in bed still - say no more - very laid back!
I like that, their voices match nicely.

Just boring {#Frown}

Personally, I think these two pair up quite well. Is this an original?

Wow - goose bumps folks ... even the hairs on my big toe are standing to attention - so very nice
{#Puke} nothing more to say.

How strange. It sounds like they didn't realize the mic was live at the beginning!
