A summer sun that blows my mind
Is falling down on all that I've ever known
Time will kiss the world goodbye
Falling down on all that I've ever known
Is all that I've ever known

A dying scream makes no sound
Calling out to all that I've ever known
Here am I lost and found
Calling out to all

We live a dying dream
If you know what I mean
All that I've ever known
It's all that I've ever known

Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly
I cried the rain that fills the ocean wide
I tried to talk with God to no avail
Calling my name and out of nowhere
I said "If you won't save me please don't waste my time"

All that I've ever known
It's all that I've ever known

Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly
I cried the rain that fills the ocean wide
I tried to talk with God to no avail
Calling my name and out of nowhere
"And if you won't save me please don't waste my time"

A summer sun that blows my mind
Is falling down on all that I've ever known
Time will kiss the world goodbye
Falling down on all that I've ever known
Is all that I've ever known

The beginning of this lures me into thinking it's "Mexican Radio" by Wall of Voodoo

A convincing argument could be made that there are hints of Beatles in every rock song since 1964....lol
I was in an elevator with Noel Gallagher once. He's really....short. LOL
Wow, lol was enjoying this tune, then checked who it was and found Oasis lol.  Well, I live here in Manchester, but do not like Oasis hahah, So, have to give high score for these guys for this tune which I really do like.

Cannot believe I would like one of their tunes, but here I am.....
Oasis will always rock my world.

Tomorrow Never Knows.

I don't know this but I think I really like it....who knew?!
Oi! Stop whining thru yer nose ya little wanker!
Oasis without the annoying voice. Maybe I leave the PSD-button untouched this time.
This is the good Oasis. Great song.

Quite pleasant.  Agree with the Tears for Fears / Doves comparisons, but I still get the unmistakable Oasis vibe, contrived or not.

This is really good - I forget sometimes that latter day Oasis had its good moments. 7->8

Unfortunately, Noel on vocals prevents it from climbing any higher than that. It does suffer from the same problem as every other Noel-on-vocals Oasis song: You keep imagining how great it could really be if only he let the more gifted brother sing. Oh well.

So much better with Noel on vocals

It's no surprise that they win best album of all time polls with these efforts.

I'm in America and I've practically worn out my copy of Definitely Maybe... Though I went through quite the Anglophile phase in the mid 90's, so I guess I'm unusual from my countrymen...
I saw a small new concert at tv, it was really bad, boring! But this tune, i like!

If you can't hear the pure rock and roll exhilaration in Morning Glory or Bring It On Down (which for reasons I don't fathom are not playlisted on RP), then you don't have a pulse.

Their personal flaws, of which there are a lot, notwithstanding, these guys have made some epic rock music.

(Voiceover): OK, now back to "Wimpoid Android Void" by Radiohead.

One trick pony's that could have been so much better if they weren't obsessed with telling the world
how "fookin great" they were...it's not about being the best band in the world it's about enjoying  the music they produce.
It stunted everything after the first album..then they got bitter as other, more genuine bands surpassed the sound they thought was there own.

I'll admit they did do a couple of songs I liked, but the Verve for instance blew them away.

Nein, nein, nein, nein!

NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN!

My thoughts exactly, except for the office part.

Can't say much for this song though.

Not an Oasis fan in general, but I really dig this. Reminds me of later, more experimental Tears for Fears as well.

Like the lyrics and the song. Kinda sad/hopeless.
Is anyone else (besides me) ever surprised by their own rating?

Seriously - you look to see what song is playing and you see that you rated it, and the rating surprises you.  Well, it happens to me.

Wow...I thought it was the Doves at first. A surprise from Oasis.
Wow. Oasis with Mellotron?  Cognitive dissonance...
i'm not sure if i can love a song more....
NEVER listened to them in the 90s because of the big-huge-fat hype around oasis then
(and because of those front "boys" not exactly looking good & having quite a silly hairdo...but acting up so big mouthy & self-opinionated...)
(and the music beeing just too "soft"...)

...today I like this song...process of getting older...or...so...?

I'm not an Oasis fan but I do like this. {#Bananajam}

I have to agree. I've liked Oasis in the past, but this album shows growth in their music that I frankly wasn't expecting.

The tune before this from Calexico was truly original.  Oasis is less so, but that doesn't make them bad.  I'm just sayin'.

I just have never liked  Oasis. Just because I'm biased and have always thought they were overrated tossers.   But...I have to admit, this alblum is good. I didn't even want to like it but its good. I like it a lot.

I feel like that thing (antagonist) in the Green Eggs and Ham book.

anyway.  this is one of the best songs on the alblum as well. a good driving song.

Latest album, first album, any album in between...what does it matter?  I don't hate it i just think its been years so if you don't actually have a second thought sit down.

I originally marked this at 1.   Dunno, must've really irritated me that particular day.

Think I'll bump it up a couple of points and give this another listen.  Though it still sounds a little too techno-repetition-boring.

They used an Oasis song as the theme for 'The Royle Family' and you'd swear it was a Coldplay song.

It sounds like Oasis is actually trying to work on music again, instead of focus on rock band bullsh*t. Good for them!
