She has been at this for at least as long as Lucinda and I see no reason to see anything other than 2 musicians who are basically contemporaries and who write their own songs. I love this song! First heard it on another alternative station, KPIG, which stopped broadcasting in our area. Anyway, Eliza has become one of my favorite alternative/folk/blues/ singers. I recommend her song "The Great Correction" if you want to blow all your candles. Thanks RP for playing her again.
Never heard Eliza here on RP, yesterday i bought the album Red Horse by Red Horse. Eliza is one of the three masterminds behind that production... Amazing!!!

Eliza was amazing. Not having her band, she was given the freedom of a lone woman with a guitar on a bare stage. She dispensed with her format and simply played whatever songs she liked, in whatever order she liked. Between, she joked with audience members, told rambling stories about places she'd been and people she'd known, and made a close bond with all of us in so doing. She even took requests! If I ever had doubts about Eliza being a superior artist, they were put to rest that night.

The album is nice but Angel and Delilah is the best song of it. The rest is too much "folky" for me. If you like folk, go check it out!

I don't know. The timbre, inflection, and overall quality are distinct to the decade. The same applies to guy voices.

My position is that since the 1980s guys have not been in the same league with the female artists. They have that 80s, 90s, etc quality of voice; but I know who my favorite chicks are just the same. Yes the guys all sound alike to me-just plain bad!

Hey, she looks the image of a woman I went out with for 3 years, who was 13 years older than me and seriously feckin' HOT! A 'MILF' well before the term was invented :o). This is a fine number, and well worth an initial 7 from the Nottingham jury, likely rising on future hearings.

Saw her opening for Richard Thompson. Great (if short) set.
She was playing solo (as was Richard) but had a lot of power and passion. Definitely worth the effort to see her live if you can.
