Does anyone know where I can buy this song as I can't find it in iTunes?
This works. Posted 9 years ago by Egrey from WASH, DC Still works.

that's like leaving a battlefield in the midst of fight, and stepping into a supermarket elevator {#Whistle}

You did just fine (you spelled "segué" correctly - it's pronounced "SEH-gway."  I'm laughing at your metaphor about leaving a battlefield and stepping into a supermarket elevator.  TOO funny.  I rather like this song - the slow bossa-nova beat would be perfect without the vocals... {#Bounce}

But you're typing, not speaking.... {#Stupid}

Anyway, it's pronounced SEG (rhymes with beg) WAY (/ˈsɛɡweɪ/)
This works.

I don't hate Radiohead, just the singer's voice.  This guy's got a much better voice.  Me likey!

Can't understand just what does he say?

Martini con queso
This made me laugh out loud. I was working away on a boring document and I heard the guitar refrain for High and Dry subdued in the background and I was like... wtf?... am I imagining that?...

Bruce Lash must love this version. It's kinda cool.
nice transition from No One Knows...a little Mexican radio
It's a refreshing cover...

Eyup. I logged in just to give this an 8 (and wtf are Radiohead doin' in there?) I think it's glorious.

(also in cubicle hell)

p.s. Ohhh - followed by Radiohead "Knives Out" .. intro'd with a similarly deeply luxurious chord-set.

On the CD the song title is simply High and Dry, and the artist is El Lele de Los Van Van featuring Radiohead (samples).

Listen closely during the horns and you can hear it deep down.  The samples really do nothing for it (and once you hear them are actually kind of annoying), so my guess is they included them just to get the Radiohead name on it.

This song works for me, but the rest of the album is really better left unheard.

This is just a guess, but I think it's the guitar riff.

The riff is featured prominently in Radiohead's version at 2:55, and can also be heard in the background of this version at 1:33.

(They wrote the song, but that's not usually enough to get "w/ Radiohead" credits, so I assume that's what you were asking about.)

El Lele De Los Van Van - High and Dry (w/ Radiohead)    ==>   Radiohead - Knives Out

...funny, i'm sitting here working with this playing in the background and suddenly stop, knowing that i recognise this music from an english-language original with a radically different arrangement, i just can't quite put my finger on it...so pop over to radioparadise.com, and sure enough, i'm correct, but sadly my coworker doesn't recognise the title high and dry, although i'm certain he'd know the song if he heard it...

Dios Mio{#Eek}
If you're looking for a good latin tinged version of this tune, check out Jorge Drexler https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfjOwIjpzKE

Maybe they changed the channel on the radio-head by turning its nose.

No, if you listen carefully, you can still hear a hint of the original song.

¡Que triste! {#Rolleyes}

Yes, I'll have the cheese platter and a bottle of schmaltz liquor.
This is kinda fun!
meh

(And I'm a BVSC fan!)

Just be glad it's not a Def Leppard melange going on here.{#Shhh}

Everyone who was involved with the making of this album should be shot for crimes against music.
This entire album is shameful.

Gotta say, I agree 100%. Not too dusty at all.

I hate this kind of music, but this song is so beautiful! 8
Ho Hum
While certainly not unpleasant I personally don't care for this style of music but accept it as the price of listening to eclectic radio. This song however has totally blown me away and I always turn the volume up when it's played. I love the way Radio Paradise broadens my horizons.
I was wondering what it was. Then I played the original and I was blown away. It's got what I think is essencial on a cover: It's gotta sound original. I gave it a 7
make it stop... tooooo long.

I couldn't even tell this was a cover at first.

Well done. Being a Radiohead fan and a Spanish speaker, this is a lot of fun to listen to.
Better Radiohead Covers are found here: https://easystarrecords.shop.musictoday.com/Product.aspx?cp=115_2050&pc=ESCD15 And their "Dub Side of the Moon" is even better.
Mucho Mucho AIEEEE AIEEE AIIEEEEEEEEEEE!
I think the funniest all time comment is when Dionysus put a picture of Spock for Supertramp's Logical Song.

Dude, you're freakin' me out...
Please make this song go away
It's nice to know Thom Yorke has a sense of humor, at least...

Ha ha.... I agree. This is ridiculous. Check out all the rest of the quality stuff on this album. Why mix the genres? Nothing better to do?
WTF?

I just checked: RP does not have any Jamie Cullum. There is one Michael Bublé song. And that's exactly how it should be! :grin: Well Ok, perhaps we need even less Jamie cullum and maybe one more Bublé song, if it's a short one.
Yes! "Now Playing:" says Radiohead will be on soon! (Not great Radiohead, but not this, either.)

Dull, cheesy. Wouldn't seek it out.
If you find something physically painful, that's a bad thing, right?

This is actually a pretty fun album...it's nice to hear a different spin on music sometimes.
Is nice to hear this kind of music once in a while...
weird, really really weird.
Didn't think I would like it... I was wrong.
I can feel the tropical breeze with this one.
wow, once i figured out what song this was, it was like getting hit in the head with a 2 by 4, but in a good way
Ah... Sí, ritmos de Cuba
Cool!!
THE LO-OOOOOOO-VE BOAT!
Different. I'll start with a 7....
