here's Jane in Bill and Ted #1 as Joan of Arc.  I don't think she had any lines, as her "helium-esque" voice is a bit scary.

Had a huge crush on Belinda Carlisle.

"Classically horrible" is a phrase I would use to describe something other than this - like Styx, Boston, or Kansas:  soul-less products which were manufactured for the derivation of profit with no other aesthetic consideration - three of the pioneers of "corporate rock".  This band, in my opinion, at least, had a sense of "fun".  Belinda Carlisle was a babe as well.
I remember flipping through my cousin's album collection when I was 12, and this is the only album I am absolutely certain he had — that cover art definitely stood out from the rest, very memorable!
Love those harmonies.

so long ago...l remember seeing them at Kings Dominion in 1984, with INXS as the opening act.  wow.  so long ago.

Definitely still crushworthy. As were the other Go-Gos. Saw them open for the Police (Ghost in the Machine tour).

CSB

I talked with all the Go Go ladies after a show at the Agora Ballroom in Atlanta out at their Tourbus (It was probably 81-82) and they all were really funny and friendly EXCEPT Jane Wiedlin. She refused to talk to anyone and stood off to the side scowling at her bandmates and the fans that had the nerve to try and talk with them.

Total bitch.

Belinda Carlisle, on the other hand, was the star of the band, and was really sweet and friendly to everyone.

It is only stupid if they burned someone else's albums. They have every right to do what they want with their own property and even though I like the Go Gos, I bet that was a fun exorcise (misspelt on purpose).{#Lol}

Where they burn art, they tend to burn people...whether you bought it or not.

I didn't even know this had made it into the RP library.

This song has almost the identical melody of the Beatles the night before, huh, never noticed that before.{#Stupid}

Not real deep in the lyrics department, but a great fun pop song.

Brings back memories of a certain time...

Waiting for this song to come loose but it doesn't. A bit like the towels on the cover.

I still have this on vinyl and it still sounds fresh.  Better in some ways than the CD.

Cool!! Now I want to hear "Walk Like an Egyptian"! It now has a whole new meaning...
wow, thanks for the memories, Bill!

Reminds me of growing up in Orange County during the 80's when this band was brand new.  Fun times, like, oh, my God! {#Dancingbanana}

Yeah, they are...And they were totally rad fem when they came out, too!

MORE GO GOs!!!!
WOW! So odd. Yet so right after New Order. Great deep cut from an too often tossed away band.
The Go-Go's are so totally hot!
This album (yes, vinyl) was actually pretty good.
