I want to unmake every bed
that I laid down on
Give back everything I won.

I want to unfly every crow,
unwind every mile,
undo everything I've done

Good days, there'll be bad days
Good days, there'll be bad days

I want to unread every book
that my eyes laid on
Unsay everything I've said

I want to unsing every song,
unwrite every line,
unstep every step I made

Good days, there'll be bad days
Good days, there'll be bad days

I want to unsow every seed,
unwind every clock,
unbreathe every breath I made

I want to unset every sun
that my eyes fell on
'til I give back all I won

Good days, there'll be bad days
Good days, there'll be bad days
Good days, there'll be bad days
Good days, there'll be bad days

Awesome — I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. 5 years after posting that comment, I appreciate this album more than ever. Having just heard this track on RP a few minutes ago, I decided to play the whole album this afternoon. {#Cheesygrin}

As far as under the radar album recommendations go, this is near the top of my list. A few friends have picked it up and they haven't been disappointed.

Yes, very Frippy guitar, sounds like an EBow?

Yes, I agree it sounds like an EBow.

That must be the sound of heaven{#Cheesygrin}
I'm trying to understand the cover art. Is that supposed to be a nude white Catholic Army soldier? Infantry?

Holy crap - this is the same voice that sang "Heartbreak Beat"?  New avenue of music for me. Love this song....  I really need to get to bed, but how great it is to sign in to slumberland with a new revelation to ponder before the sandman bludgeons me into oblivion!  Love this song... Richard Butler... Okay, totally done now... {#Sunny}

Miss you so much, Cynaera...  this is a lovely song...
I never quite realized how much I like this guy's body of work.  I have recordings by most of his bands I think, and have seen them play live, yes, I must give Richard Butler his due.  Missed this one though, I'll have to remedy that.
Really solid tune!  Never knew of it - very nice.

For any of you on the fence about buying this album, I highly recommend it.  I'm a fan of the Furs, but not to the extent that I liked everything they released.  I heard Richard Butler teamed up with another songwriter/producer to record an album that was in part reflective of their fathers (who, if I recall correctly, were both born and both died in the same year as one another) and I gave it a chance.  I'm glad I did.  The album is well written with more texture than you might expect from Butler.  I think it's highly reflective of the writing and production partnership though only Butler's name was used in the name of the album for obvious promotional reasons.

Thanks.  I am going to go ahead and get it.
Unusually good for Richard Butler.

Yeah, his other stuff was with his old band, " The Psychadelic Furs."

It was pretty good, too!

Ha...thx, had no idea!  Loved the Psychadelic Furs, but that was the 80's when I was a teen and now my mind is gone!  :)

Apart from getting a bit poppy with Heartbreak Beat (if they got paid well good luck to them) this chap hasn't put a foot wrong imho.

Yes, it does and builds in intensity.

Never saw the Furs live; hooked since Sister Europe, middle school days.  Saw Elvis, Debbie, Richard et al in Roy Nathanson's Fire At Keaton's Bar & Grill, Brooklyn Heights, 2000?  Anyway, his voice brings back sweet memories, nice song.

Cool. Until hearing this, I never realized that the lead singer of the Psychadelic Furs and Love Spit Love were the same person.

Nice guitar work.  Reminds me a little of Fripp.

Yes, very Frippy guitar, sounds like an EBow?

Me too, what you said. I'll always give him at least an 8, just because he helped write "Pretty In Pink". Stellar. {#Clap}

I've followed his career over the years and I have always enjoyed his music.  My sister had a demo tape of his from when she lived in New York and turned me on to his music.
Nice guitar work.  Reminds me a little of Fripp.

 Have to agree...what a great song! Never heard of him before. -Cheers

This guy's voice sounds like Dave Matthews'.  We all know what that should mean.  Oddly, however, the reviews are mostly positive.

Not mine.

Mellow yes.... But wow, what a breathtakingly beautiful song! I haven't heard this before.
Okay, some of the music in the past 1.5 hours has been good, but it is way too mellow for me on a Friday afternoon. I'm signing off. Too bad.
I'm a huge Richard Butler fan, from the Furs and Love Spit Love days. Glad to hear RP giving his solo CD some airplay.
I am so completely gratified that RP accepted this from my LRC upload! And for those of you that like this, it isn't the only good track on the album. Check out: Breathe Sentimental Airline Broken Airplanes (not sure what's with the whole "airport" theme) For my money this is some of the best stuff of his career. Cover is pretty artsy....
