Now what was that scar situated from afar
And what was that light integrated in your mind
And what have you done, it's too early for everyone
Just wait for that sign spilling over and passed in time

Come join in the last hurrah with open sores and open jaw
Find one last flaw and keep it safe and free from harm
And what have you done, it's too early for everyone
Just smile, go inside, come and see there is no sign

Now here we are revisiting
A time, a place, a whole industry
Well, we promise we'll be leaving soon
We share apocalyptic views
How comforting that we see them
Who are we to promise we'll be leaving shortly

Come join in the last hurrah with open sores and open jaw
And what was that light integrated in your mind
And what have you done, it's too early for everyone
Just wait for that sign spilling over and over and over and over
Over and over and over and over
Over and over and over and over
Over and over and over and over and over and over

I dig this, and I love Silversun Pickups madly, ever since RP turned me on to their "Lazy Eye..." I was going to have to go down to see them play in Denver at The Ogden Feb. 22, a couple weeks away, but... New shit has come to light, man... They're coming to The Boulder Theater TO JAM ON FOUR-TWENTY! ~~ Can't wait!
Excellent! I had never heard of them, prior to RP. Now, I like several of their tunes! Thanx RP!

Another band I'd never heard/known of without Radio Paradise—immensely power-driven and very cool. And, haters, get over Brian Aubert's tonality. So he's not Robert Plant. So what?

I agree!
I really like Nikki Monninger on bass.  She rocks!
From School of Fish to Silverson Pickups, sum killer LA bands being played today
Amazing!  What song are these haters listening to?  This rocks!

his group, but I would have prefered to

Until the vocals started - I thought it was some Robin Trower song I had missed. I like this group, but wish it was James Dewer singing.....

I like some of their material but this is clearly ripping off Smashing Pumpkins and it really falls short
Need some Hayseed Dixie - The Ace of Spades & Fat Bottomed Girls for instance.
They have several tunes that are much better.

I like it!
Ugh! This is totally constipated.
...like some one is sanding his garage door....>3
I like it
horrid
This guys vocals are the worst.
You shouldn't be able to hear the singer's breath noises at equal level in the mix should you?
If I was in this band I'd quit.

Today ass well....Cool!

I can sympathise with that 'problem'. Try supping a large dram of a fine malt whiskey whilst listening to the great music on RP. There's bound to be a Ho-Hum come along at some point, and then you'll be ready for the Land of Nod {#Sleep}
rock on
Seriously.  This and Chopin in the same afternoon.  Only RP
I really like some of their other songs, but for me this song is a bunch of noise...
This is one of the few selections that my wife and I disagree on.  I think this is fantastic, but she never really got into it that much.  She loved Lazy Eye, but the rest of this album never really got her attention.

Swoon on the other hand, neither one of us thought that much of.

Sounds like Robin Trower's guitar. Good song!

confused?

We need that upper emotocon added to the list.  I have always wanted to use something like that.
EXTREMELY GOOD SONG
FROM A VERY-VERY GOOD ALBUM!

Really want to like this band, great songs, great instrumentals, bloody awful singer.  He's more suited to singing children's nursery rhymes.  A different singer and I would own a couple of their albums.

He speaks very highly of you.

Crank it up,love this!
Thoroughly enjoyable!  Can't seem to stop my feet!

I like these guys but I kind of agree with you about the singer - not that our opinion matters one little bit in the greater scheme of things.

Thank you, I would like a Twinkie.   Oh, wait...

Remind me a little of someone else. I want to say Material Issue but I'm not sure that's it. Nice song, though.

The beginning sounds a bit Robin-Trower-ish.

I also got this album just now - basically it's great, like it very much, but the guy (?) on the distorted guitar can sometimes be a pain in the ass. good in the background during the songs, but unbearable in the solos and endings. guess I'll make myself a copy with endings fading out.

Remind me a little of someone else. I want to say Material Issue but I'm not sure that's it. Nice song, though.
KICK ASS DRUMS

The male is the lead singer (in this and most SSP songs), the female as near as I can tell is backup vocalist / bass player.
I just saw them in concert last Saturday, Nikki sang one song (maybe two, can't remember). Not anything I've heard on RP or on the (:gasp:) radio, she's got a nice voice though.

Another new musical discovery for me, thanks to RP. This is album of the year material!
Oh yes! It's so very good to hear more songs from this most excellent album.
YUCK. Not doing it for me at all.... I barely spared them from sucko-barfo....
Yes, first to comment.
