I thought this was Traffic and Steve Winwood.

I was playing some mad air piano at my dining room table.

*looks through from the other room* Yes. . . yes you are.
I appreciate the musicianship and fast fingers, but I still wish it would just end.

Sweet rhythm for sure.
Boy..some snappy fingers at work here !

Not on this LP..I believe, but he did an awesome version of "Season of the Witch" !

I usually like some sauce on my noodles.

Never heard this before. I can dig it.

"Compared to What" would be a nice add... turn a few heads and not have to listen to this "Stevie Winwood" bullshit

Stevie Winwood?
"Compared to What" would be a nice add... turn a few heads and not have to listen to the Stevie Winwood comparisons... also does a very good "Inner City Blues" which, being the first version of that song I heard, is still my favorite.  Reason for edit: I like Stevie Winwood and didn't mean to imply anything—I just think that Brian needs to be recognized for his own unique and much less-known style.

nice keys
Neat.  Never heard this.
Takes me back to high school jazz band attempting to play like him. Ahhhhhh{#Bananajam}{#Bananapiano}
Don't think I've heard this before - and it's pretty cool.  Not quite sure how I feel about the vocals, but I do dig the piano.
Somewhere in my vinyl collection lies this gem.  Thanks for reminding me to go dig through that stuff from time to time! {#Bananajam}
The release date for this was 1972, Bill.

And thanks for adding it to the playlist. I know it is not to everyone's taste, but those of us who like it, really like it.

Ali and I got to see Brian Auger at a local club a couple of years ago. For $5,! When shows in other nearby cities were $20 a ticket.

Best show I have seen in years. Wow. He is still amazing on that B3.

Whoo!  That was awesome. . .

Me gusta... aunque es demasiado disonante, logra cierta armonia.

Good sound though.

...used to hear a lot of Brian and Julie on this hear (sic) little station that glowed in the dark...

Succinct jazzy undercurrents. A bit of a drag but that sinks in fine for me. Cool! Thanks!

i see what you did there.  {#Cowboy}

hmmmmmm I might agree with this, if I didn't have a 2 year old that plays on a piano sometimes. not so much.

That's actually a difficult impression to achieve on a well worn tune like this.

Wow, I saw him live when I was 16 (that was in 1969 I think!). Long long time ago ... That was "Brian Auger and the Trinity" with Julie Driscoll if I remember correctly. Apparently he's still crazy on his keyboard, but it doesn't quite sound OK today.
That was a cool segue from Buzzin' Fly.

I saw these guys back about 1980 in a bar in Cupertino, CA. I went with my buddy's sister I was seeing at the time. Wow! long time ago. I wondered what ever happened to Brian Auger, my buddy and his sister?
Brian Auger is still touring. His daughter and son are in his band now. The daughter sings, the son on the drums. Saw them at a local music club last summer. Great show.
Listen ; this is where Jimmy Page and the AWB and that hard core Celtic sound appeared.

They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway. They say there's always magic in the air ... oh, wait.

I had the same impression. You get the feeling that not everybody is playing in the same key. Can't say I'm anxious to hear it again, even though I do dig extended jam music, especially from the 1970 timeframe (where I imagine this is from).

Ah yes, the late Long John Baldry, who gave Elton John half of his stage name. Great stuff.

I'll second that emotion.

I thought I knew this period of music - but I never even heard of this guy - he is brilliant.
Cool. Glad to hear it on RP. Agnes, AliGator, N4KU and I saw him last month for $5. It was about the best thing I've ever gotten for $5. Auger was detroying the organ and his daughter is a great singer as well.
most excellent

I dig it. Very cool IMO
Very nice...
Another old favorite from the vinyl days. I'm pretty sure I've still got it at home somewhere. Thanks, Bill!
Brian Auger!?! Crikey! Been a long time since I heard anything by him.
