ich weiß warum
ich verrückt bin
ich weiß warum
und es ist mir egal

ich weiß warum
ich nicht denken kann
wenn du da bist
kann ich nicht denken
und ich mach weiter

wenn du was sagst
kann ich nicht zuhören
wenn du was sagst
muß ich dich nur ansehen

wenn du was sagst
fliegen deine worte

I'm not tired of this tune, I love it, but really would like to hear more from them here.

BTW, Inga Humpe is from Hagen. Deep in the west, even if looked at from Bavaria.

Ouch. The blind man speaking of colors?

My comment didn‘t refer to „east“ or „west“ as geographical terms, but to former political systems: Eastern Germany or GDR was part of the Eastern Bloc, there was a deadly border with Western Germany or FRG; two different nations as enemies. Despite the reunification 30 years ago you will find remaining cultural and linguistic differences until now; the phrase „2Raumwohnung“ for instance shows the social affiliation to the „east“, people socialised in the „west“ would say „2-Zimmerwohnung“.

And how relate Bratislava and Inga Humpe to all this? Let me call it blessed ignorance.

Greetings from Bavaria, possessing a long border with the former eastern states.

Actually I came to rp to escape hyped German bands. 2Raumwohnung is indeed decent, but so overplayed here. And there is a Germany outside of Berlin (and aside from Kraftwerk and Rammstein), believe it or not. Embrace the diversity. ;)

If you want to get more rp-style German music, try Stoppok (from the west), Die Sterne (from the north), Kraftklub (from the east, they have their own tongue in cheek anti-Berlinocentrism anthem "Ich will nicht nach Berlin") or even Helge and the Firef*ckers (he's...one of a kind and from the west).
ein song in deutsch auf rp- sehr cool!

cheers

Yeah,... nice to hear also German songs here!
By the way,... there are also some nice austrian bands! "Mother´s Cake" for example!

Cheers from yet another music-lover from Krautrock-Land B-)
It's so über-cool to hear German pop on here (never heard of them, gonna check them out!)
Long live RP !!!

Perfect pronunciation Bill!; 2raumwohnung (German pronunciation: ) is a German pop duo founded in 2000 in Berlin. Its two members – Inga Humpe and Tommi Eckart – are the former singers of the group Neonbabies.
oh and yea, great group, great song!

This song be berry berry groovy...  we be dancing...  love it...

Sorry, Bill:  all I can think about is Dance Time on Sprockets (you may pet my monkey).
This song is the consequent evolution from what we call Neue Deutsche Welle over here, coming up 76, https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neue_Deutsche_Welle
but i like this one!
Got to thinking Bill might consider a 'dance' stream after listening to this. I am a rabid RP fan, I control the music at the family reunion and RP is the go to but when they want to dance, they want to dance now!

Wie sagt mann "Quite Likeable" auf Deutsch?

Hhhhhhmmmmmmm.  Very much not enjoying the music but it is excellent for practicing my German listening which is something I suppose but the monotonous backbeat is drilling into my mind and may in fact destroy all my German vocab - swings and roundabouts hey

Yep, definitely inspired by Laid Back's White Horse. Nice for DJ's to mix both songs...
Has a bit of a Tom Tom Club kinda vibe to it.  Enjoyable, though.
My mother-in-law liked to clean house to German marching songs.  Of course, she grew up in Nurnberg in the 30's, so I guess it is to be expected.  This is much better.
Inga Humpe, that brings back memories. Neue Deutsche Welle, die Oelpest der Tonkunst. Some rather goods songs but a lot of rubbish. Would love to hear something from Jazzkantine to prove that Germany produces some respectable music, too.
cool
A really great song!{#Dance} on a great german sunday morning - that's paradise {#Roflol}
Es gibt ja viele Deutsche Leute hier am RP. Toll Nachbarn zu entgegnen! (Entschueldigung wenn mein Deutsch ist nicht ganz korrekt).

First time I hear this song and I think I really like the song, allthough I don't know if I would purchase the album. Germany sometime really breeds good songs (as Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Spain and other non-english speaking countries do). I always thought that songs sounded best if sung in English, but I know better...{#Cool}

fine music from 2raumwohnung. especially this song is adoreable. looking forward to see them live again.

Agreed...not only that, he called someone "smegma breath" yet his hundreds of "10" ratings are almost exclusively male bands...dominated by tired 70's arena rock. Sounds like a severe case of repressed sexual longing for an all-male world to me.

I'm only sayin'.

Anyone who gives all Tori a "1" can't be much of a taste arbiter, anyway.

Again, I'm only sayin'.
