This is really enjoyable. Why does it have only a 5.8 rating? I give it an 8.

Over the past 13 years the rating rose by 0.03 per year. In 60 years, the average rating will have reached my rating.  :-)
Sounds very ZOUK
probably more time and place than other considerations

but I am so taken...    a 9 looking down this piste!   (and it would be a double diamond if it was in bounds)

a bump in time for every turn

With cocktails, I hope. This piece has a nice, relaxed, cocktail-hour feel to it.
I dig the vocals and the rhythm, but wish there was more guitar work and less cheesy synth and drum machine.

When this started, I thought it was going to be a long-lost Howard Jones track. Perhaps not so far from the truth?

A bar and dance floor--with or without the thatched roof--would be closer to the Black African experience associated with this Congolese music. Cattle herding tribal folk would unlikely be listening to this kind of music though with the advent of i-Pods, etc., I stand to be corrected. hehe

Love these African artists. Most Excellent. Another CD for my wishlist.
What kind of comment is this? Might as well say 'I love these American artists...' There are great African artists and there are crap ones I assure you.
Very soothing on a Wednesday morning. Not something I would listen to all day, but something worth hearing every once in a while. I'm glad I'm still drinking coffee, this might be hard if I were tired.

Just right for a drizzerable afternoon
I'm a huge fan of world music, but just because something is world music doesn't mean it's not cheezball.
