If you liked what you heard, you might consider making a request to the Radio Paradise folks for more.  There are 2 songs that are in their catalog that have NEVER been played.  What a shame - they are excellent as well.

I've heard (even from a waitress who works there) that the owner is looking for a new venue for his shows. Part of the problem is the new minor league baseball park that opened right across the street (taking up all of the available parking spaces), and who knows what else. But it seems that it will be just a matter of time before The Canal Street Tavern will be no more. At least in this incarnation.

What could be make a better night of music than to see Jayne at the Canal Street Tavern? Anyone who comes to Dayton should make it a point to visit that venue. If you're lucky to be there on a night when Jayne is performing, all the more beautiful.

Oh, thank you for finding this article! I've met Jayne and her hubby, and they are some terrific people! It makes me miss Dayton and the whole wonderful indie music scene that she's a huge part of.
