Please consider adding some David Grisman Quintet to the playlist...
The music is what I care about here and it's a tasty treat of talent. That being said...the album art font choices scream "amateur". Never use three different fonts along with center justified and then center justified off to the right side. Gahhhh! I'll shut up and listen.

I was blessed to see Grisman and Garcia in Austin many moods ago! A very entertaining show to say the least!  First I have heard of Sam Bush, pretty darn good!

Crazy amazing mandolin. My heart missed a beat or two. Where have you been All my life, Sam Bush! Coco
Awesome, thank you RP.
Folk rocker mandolin-philes might like Fairport Convention Flatback Caper
Highly reminiscent of David Grisman.
Ahhhh

Reminds me of the days hearing New Grass Revival, outdoors at the free three day BG festival, in Louisville.

Bands from around the works would play. All day  and all night.  And you could camp out in tents in a cheap campground across the Ohio river, in Indiana.  You would walk across the bridge back and forth.

You could spit off the bridge, if you chose to.

Go man, go!
Do a few tequila shots and try saying "mandolinist" ten times really fast.
About 3 minutes too long

Yet more awesomeness!! Thnx for share!! ✌️
Brings a smile in dreary world - thanks.
SO FAITHFUL to his musicianship - solo and with band members.
SO MISSING his amazing voice
THIRTY-PLUS YEARS of seeing Sam Bush live, like no other.
Wow!!  Just added this song to my playlist.  Gotta feeling I'm going to be toe-tapping every time I hear it.
Sam Bush is very cool indeed
Going to see him here in Dallas in a few weeks
RP is the best

Once saw Sam Bush trying to have a conversation with Bill Monroe at a  BG festival in Kentucky.

I think Sam was a little "juiced up" and old Bill looked at him like a crazy man.
One of my original "RP Favorites" from "the day" (ca. 2007). Good to hear it again.
Love Sam Bush, and this song is extra-cool!

ALWAYS INCREDIBLE IN CONCERT, SEE HIM PERIODICALLY AT FISCHER FEST IN  A ONE HUNDRED OLD DANCE HALL

The thing about mandolin, unlike the guitar or banjo, is that it has this inky dinky fretboard. It's soooooo easy to lock your fingers up hitting notes with this kind of speed. The masters like Bush, Grisman, Thile, Larry Rice, Mike Marshall make it seem so effortless. {#Notworthy}

Did you listen Mike Oldfield? He plays several instruments effortless with more speed than this. But wait, it's an non-understandable artist out of Europe. But he is a genius.
What a cotton pickin' moment...

Nah, not his speed.
Stingray, it's your song!
Love it - saw the New Grass Revival back-in-the-day.

Parent's took me and my sister to many a Blue Grass festival.
Not exactly my cup of tea but his talent is undeniable.

bordering on too many notes . . . ;-)
This is excellent but if you ever get to see him live...
well he takes to a whole other level
That's how it's done, kids!!!!!
Great to hear him... but I confess that I do miss New Grass Revival!!
Seen this guy a bunch. He never disappoints.

If you crave fast, inventive mandolin a la Bush, Grisman, or Mike Marshall, get a hold of some of Chris Thile's work, solo and with Nickel Creek. He was just awarded a MacArthur Foundation "genius" grant, and deserves every penny of it.

I really like Nickel Creek but I wish Thile would leave a little more room on vocals for his band mates.

I can't play air guitar that fast. Nice!
Look at the fingers on that guy, I'll bet he can cover 12 frets without moving his hands!
This guy probably makes David Grisman quietly cry himself to sleep at night.  Of course they are actually both great, but this is some pretty impressive mandolinin right here!

For too long Stingray has been lobbing his red large point hysterical, but for the most part harmless, BS bombs into the song comments.  But like another poster said "ROTFLMAO", me too!, Poozlepuddums...wonderful.

I mean, yeah, I dunno, I guess...

"poozlepuddums"?!? ROTFL! Way to embarrass a troll {#Roflol}
This tune came up on sat radio as I was crossing the Continental Divide last summer. Just after the giant VLA satellite antennae array and before Pie Town, New Mexico. Had to make this quick and dirty graphic in appreciation. Stingray, cowboy does not mean whatever you think it means, do a little research. Better yet, a little travel. It'll mellow you out, tout suite.

Saw him live in a small venue in Chicago, IL in 1989 when he was fronting Newgrass Revival. One of the most entertaining individuals I've seen. Very personable and approachable. Incredible musician to boot. Great stuff.

OH MY!! what a good tune .. I hope it doesn't get stupid but the first 2 minutes are great!

I love this type of music, in the morning, afternoon and evening.  I am glad to hear it... Good job Bil!
Fantastic soloing towards the end of the song!

Another winner RP....

8 to a 9... great stuff!
Very clever and talented, but I don't like it
yeah that's 8

And the guy or girl with the red text ought to be hospitalized. Or simply spit

the guy who feels it boring needs  a roofer. I see what he means cause I run a clean machine .But I see nothin' wrong .. <"Is that wrong?" as a pal always opined.>

heck nah.
He comes to Merlefest every year (if you like music, you should go!) and covered Led Zeppelin II last year with the Waybacks and John Cowan and RS's Sticky Fingers this year with the Duhks and Emmylou Harris. What an awesome show!{#Cowboy}

yeah....and this recording is like 12 years old.

Amazing how he can play almost faster then you can hear....and trust me, he smokes the GOOD stuff :)
Puts me in mind of the music of Jango Reinhardt. Sublime.

I don't give 10-Godlike to anyone. I took up the mandolin almost a year ago. It's a wildly painful and frustrating pursuit, and I love every moment and sensation. No one plays like Sam. No one plays from the elbow like he does. From a mechanical point of view, it's plain amazing.

So does your over-sized red text. Try speaking normally to folk if you want to earn their respect and be listened to, rather than being seen a loud PITA. Get some netiquette.

As a newcomer to playing the mandolin, let me just say that this ROCKS!  I had the chance to see him at the Fall '08 Strawberry festival, however I was sick as a dog and couldn't make it to the meadow.  I had to lay in my tent and listen to Sam BURNING the place down!  It sounded like he was backed by the Stones....awesome set.

Foot tappin'! - I'd like to see him at a festival - he would be brillliant at 'The End of the Road' festival.

Must be listening to something other than what I am hearing.  A master of the mandolin.  Go see him live.
WOW.

Love this guy, Seen him several times. Always a Great show. If you can appreciate his muscianship. Your a Music Moron !
There are people that like this kind of music. I am not one of those people.
