I don't mean to be pedantic, but did you know there ARE horse feathers? The frilly hairs around the hoofs and fetlocks of draft horses, like Clydesdales, Percherons, and other breeds such as Freisans are called "feathers."

Understandable that this would be an acquired taste but, once acquired, I've found much of their music to be captivating.  Previous poster cited "Curs in the Weeds" and "Working Poor" as being off of this debut release, but those are actually off their second album "House with No Home".   Both have great moments, but for me the first one "Words are Dead" (containing this track) is better.  It's one of those albums that I fixated on — playing little else — for a period of weeks.  Strange how music can mesmerize some — touching some unconscious thread in our brains that we didn't even know was there — while repulsing others.  I guess that's why we listen, no?

Play on, Goldsmith's.  Play on!

After hearing this track, I bought the album, and whilst I do like it, I find listening to all the tracks "on the trot" becomes tiresome. I prefer to shuffle the tracks in with other stuff. Then again, I have a few other albums like that.

I like the light pulsing rhythm. I agree about the Gomez, but in a slightly higher range - sort of a Gomez/Decembrists combo. Great set - I keep trying to leave work, but good songs keep coming on, dammit!
